I've had a few of mine place. The highest was #2. Now that Idol is over, I might enter again.

The one thing about the site is that the best ideas are taken so quickly that by the time Thursday rolls around, there isn't a lot to work with.

I've been chopping there for a little while. I love the contests. So far I haven't ranked higher than #2, but I keep at it.

ETA: I've been wondering about Unravel too.

Unravel, my "drunk bitch" BFF is fine and dandy. He's just busy getting paid for his incredible skills as a graphic artist. He continues to pursue his main hobby of sampling fine bourbons and occasionally drunk dialing me at 3am.

Barely placed--20 out of 20. But last place is kinda the pimp slot, so I'm pretty psyched. And they used my chop as the banner for the contest, so that's pretty sweet.

That was kind of a typical plast for me--I put in a lot of work on an entry that didn't place, and then the assy one I just threw together was picked. I don't really get what motivates the site to pick the winners they do, but it's all good. The prompts are a lot of fun.

Well, FML. I was sure my Weiner chop would place in the irresponsible game shows contest. Well, at least I can share it here.

O.K., I fucking love that. Sometimes I think whoever judges those contests have shit for taste. I'm surprised considering their love of the dick jokes over there!

Yeah.. they're impossible to peg. I was sure they'd go for the dick joke, doubly so because of Weiner. I'm telling myself it must have been too subtle.

Ok, time for me to be bitter and bitchy again. Here's another chop I thought might make the cut, but it didn't. The prompt was to take two film titles, mash them together, and make a movie poster for the result.

I was also surprised that one didn't place. The only thing I can think of is that it didn't have an obvious joke -- it was prettier than it was funny. Maybe a tagline could have punched it up. I'm still getting used to making Photoplasty's that hit you in the face. I tend to underplay the humor and go for sly and winking -- Cracked.com does not appreciate underplayed and sly. If the joke isn't sitting on the surface, it typically doesn't make the cut.

BTW, there is no way to talk about comedy in a funny way.

Here's my greatest disappointment in the contest, but not because it failed to place. It's because I had to pull it:

After I posted it, it dawned on me to google the title to make sure the joke wasn't already spoken for. The commentators love to point out the entries that were "stolen" whenever they can. The version that was already out there didn't just use the same title -- it used the exact two pictures in the chop. I really had no choice other than to pull it.
