He's also told us not to get too knotted up over the order of the picks. I don't think it's really done in a literal order, I think they kinda shuffle them around in a way they think progresses well. Except for maybe the top 3-5--you can be pretty sure those are their favorites.

Yup. Along with anything that looks like it came from 4-chan. There are some forum guidelines you might want to read, but I think you've got the gist of it. The only other biggie is that karma is a forbidden subject. Never speak of it.

You've also probably noticed that there's a colossal douchebag who keeps getting banned, making new accounts, and returning. It makes people pretty edgy and unwilling to welcome new people. The mods are trying to keep on top of him but he's a persistent troll so it's tricky.

So if people are eyeing you with a certain suspicion, that's why. I've told a couple folks privately that you're not Merde, which should help.

Oh I got that one. I already racked up tons of negatives and was like WTF and naturally wanted to bitch about it and tell everyone what cunts they were, but I saw some other people doing so and they had way more negatives than me. I think that's just common sense that bitching about negatives will earn you more.

I'm not feeling much inspiration for the Photoplasties this week. "How foreign cultures see America" has too much potential for racism. I might do one for the FPS one. I liked your drunk girl one.

Yeah, I figured you wouldn't have any trouble with the boards. It's just, I have a friend who loves really assy communities (like this one!) and he was really disappointed in the Cracked forum. He said it was full of hand-wringing, touchy-feely shit and was totally over-moderated. That hasn't been my experience at all, but I never really venture past the image manip section.

I had a few ideas for this week but not much time. Between work and the Hag Race (and weekend plans), I think I'm done with this week's prompts. I always like to get in early anyway. It's kind of tedious to comb the whole topic to see if an idea's already been done.

I'm kinda funked that my winged car didn't place today. It was a common entry, though, and I don't think ANY flying cars made it in.

Yes, it does seem over-moderated to the point of stifling creativity. There seem to be a LOT of nicey-nice pearl-clutchers there who would cry and ban you if you told them to fuck off. Sometimes I really want to shit all over their stupid entries (that were obviously done with MS Paint), but I guess that would just get me banned.

Yeah, it's incongruous. I thought the forums would be like the articles--full of asshats, and smart and ironic. It's peculiar that they aren't. I'd like to know where on the board you go to find THOSE guys. I mean, yeah, they'd tell us to fuck off for a little while, but that's totally par for the course.
