I Love New York is coming back for a second season and, for the first time ever, five men will be selected via a web vote. This means that anyone can enter (see how here) and anyone can vote (see how here). Why are we so excited about this new website? For one, we have to do less work. But that?s not the only reason. We are pumped because the fans of the show and of New York have truly been amazing and have built such an awesome community. We couldn?t be more thrilled than to return the favor by putting some of the casting decisions in YOUR hands! We know you will not let us down (at least you better not, or we are never doing this again!!!). Honestly, we hope this will be a fun site for you to not only compete and vote for the 5 spots in the new season, but also a place for you to stay up to date on everything NEW YORK! The competition will have 3 rounds, so we can really get to know the competitors. Each round we will ask you to submit a new video. So how do you move onto the next round? Simple, the contestants with the most votes move on ? so we suggest you join the website early and vote often! Click here for how each round works. This blog is the spot where we (the casting producers) will get to be in direct contact with you and for you to be in direct contact with us! We will be able to give you important info about the contest and share some of our crazy stories throughout this process. Until season 2 gets under way, we hope you come here for online contest updates and info on how else you can try out for the show. During the next month, while we are casting online, we will also be traveling across the country doing in-person open calls (We will be in New York, New Orleans, Chicago, Detroit, Los Angeles, Miami, Nashville). We will post all of the information you need for those right here. The good news is ?Yes, you can do both!? Even if you are in the online casting competition, come on out to an open casting call ? you never know what craziness will be going on! And if you have already gone to an open casting call, why not sign up online too?!?! Double your odds on making it onto the show. So here goes nothing?we are on a quest to find the best guys for New York ? not an easy job! But with your help, we know we can hook her up with some good men and hopefully help her find love. Let?s do this! We really need to find the worst (best?) candidates for this show. Even better, finding the worst helps the show become more enjoyable, and TPTB are less likely to screw us over. Profiles are online, apparently they have to host a video about themselves. Should be interesting viewing.

OK well I've been voting for the Sanjaya profile this round if nothing else to see all the angry women saying that New York needs a "REAL MAN". However a real person that would be absolutely ridiculous on the show would be thefireman! http://ilovenewyork2.com/people/TheFireman 
Just watch some of his videos. He's a wreck yet perfect for New York :chickenlittle He's definately VFTW material. Just for your info the top 60 make it past round 1. The top 20 make it past round 2. In round 3 the top 5 get on the show.

I would say not to vote for anyone ugly. She'll just can them the first week like she did that T-Bone guy. Vote for people who have absolutely ridiculous personalities, but are good looking. NY is batshit crazy and will probably keep them around. I seriously can't believe how many of these people are voting based on who they genuinely think would be best for NY. It's a TV show, losers, get into the spirit.

We went to the same Junior High from 7th grade all the way up to high school senior year. You know, I even have a home video of him singing Garth Brooks' "The Dance" in one of the choir's concerts (I wonder if I could sell it for anything? ). He's always been a phenomenal singer. He's also always been an even bigger nerd.. and ever since his snuff on American Idol (saying he was from California? My god. He lived there for 2 months) nobody in the city has really supported him except for a few people. So yea, he's a gigantic loser who happened to have been blessed with a great natural talent so he can buy all the pocket protectors and calculators he wants for the rest of his life. ps. The southern accent is fake. :woo

Sanjay droped from 2th to 4th but still in the top 5. The person in 1st is some nerdy guy named Tomzens. I must say I'm happy with the way this has played out. Lots of angry ghetto women.

Round 2 has started. They deleted the Sanjaya profile probably because it was fake. However thefireman is currently #3. Only the top 60 made it into the second round. I say we support thefireman!

I don't know if most of you are familiar with the SomethingAwful forum; however, we are putting in efforts similar to this website's basis. We are uniting our votes in favor of The Fireman, and I have come here to request that SA and VFTW join forces to unite this neckbeard with our favorite attention-whoring drama queen. Here is the topic that sparked our attention to this urgent matter: http://forums.somethingawful.com/showthread.php?s=&;;threadid=2461296 If you don't have an account you may be able to view a couple pages. The word filter will be on so don't be freaked out by talk of "gently caress" and "poo poo". Apparently someone has already sent an e-mail to the director of this website but it appears it's not officially being sponsored, and it also appears as though there isn't one candidate that everyone is voting in favor of. Let me just state that The Fireman is a real person and not a fake profile. I think it's a waste of time to vote for someone who isn't real (like that fake Sanjaya profile) because we actually would like to see this man on television. Note: The Fireman was not originally a SomethingAwful goon, however he was inspired to sign up to the forum when he found out that we were rallying behind him. This is not a scheme to make one of "our own" a contestant on the show. We simply chose the most ridiculous candidate who would provide utter entertainment for at least the first episode of the show. So please consider dedicating your 1-a-day vote to The Fireman.
