I watch. Is it obvious that Stefan is going to win? How soon can that blonde douchebag guy get eliminated?

I am watching it. At least this year we get Top Chef in real time on FoodTVCanada instead of getting it months after you all have seen it. I love this show. And last night didn't dissapoint except where the hell was Ted as a judge? I really missed him.

I don't think Ted will be back at all, unless as a special guest judge. I think they hired a new regular judge to fill in when Gayle isn't there.

Who cares about that when there's Padma? I think the first two that went out this week were fake eliminations. How,likely is it for 2 culinary school students from the same class to make it? I like the cast this season, should be plenty of drama.

Ted won't be back as a regular judge because he got himself a new show on Food Network, and Food Network and Bravo do not cross-pollinate. Anyway, I love Top Chef, and Padma is the prettiest stoner on television. I do have to agree that it was a bit suspicious that the two CIA students from the same class were the first two eliminated, though. It's like they purposely overstuffed the contestants and then got rid of two so people would shut up about there being too many contestants at the beginning of this show. "Well, we got rid of two of them in one night! Two! We might do it again, too!"

After looking like a talented bunch last week, they really went down the tubes. Tom: not happy. I dunno why Fabio won, Carpaccio is not exactly hard to make (even I can do it) and it's not exactly "New American" cuisine (unless by "New American" what they really meant was: "Old Italian" . I was quite happy to see the back of Botox Girl because it means Ariana stays in. She may be a lousy cook, but she's the best looking MILF on TV. BTW, nice of them to include a Tranny this season.

The best part of the show this week, were the previews for the next show. I loved Carla's comment: "This is the new judge? GAIL! (looks around) Gail?" I can no longer take up for, or support Gene. I'm totally grossed out by his presentation of mixing fish into a pina-colada and serving the shit in a spoon? It's like he directed this insulting dish directly at me! Does anyone think fish chopped into a tropical drink mix, sans rum or vodka, sounds the least bit appetizing? Gene's defense of this bizarre concoction was lame too. Polynesian-Schmolynesian! There were no Poly-Island surfers in that crowd. And since when is coconut milk not naturally sweet? Damn Gene, I thought you were the little underdog that could! You are dead to me now. Also, why in the hell was Martha Stewart there? Somebody explain it to me. Use small words. I tire easily these days because of stress issues.

I was really scared that I was going to lose both my favorites last night. After the Franken-fish Gene served? He needed to go. I don't want my food to look back at me or 'swim' on my plate thankyouverymuch. After he put fish in a pina-colada mix in the last challenge, he was dead to me anyway. Fucking food pervert. :harumph Melissa had not even registered in the top 3 for the quick fires or the elimination challenges has she? On top of that, every detestant on every Bravo reality challenge, whines about not having the opportunity to show what they can really do. Melissa decided to define herself as a "fish taco." Fill in the blanks for yourself on how I agree with her. heh Carla should not have been in the bottom 3. She gets it and was perfectly poised. I just wish she wouldn't second guess herself so much. Go-Carla-Go! Show 'em what you can do!

Yay Carla!!!!! I was so afraid she would get the boot. The two right people left though. New judge hate, he went out of the way to be clever and witty.

wooo.....that was a close one. i agree gene needed to go....that fish couldn't have looked more unappetizing. that new judge...i don't even know who he is. i know WHAT he is though...a stereo-typical, loudmouth, elitest, wishing he even knew how boil eggs food critic.

I wish Jamie had gotten the boot for her Christmas disaster. When are they going to point out to her that the name of the show is Top Chef, not Top Scallop? I don't see why they are obviously keeping her in it. She doesn't add anything in the way of drama, outside of her lousy scallop cooking.

Quote : When are they going to point out to her that the name of the show is Top Chef, not Top Scallop? that's what fabio said. it's true though...all she has made are scallops and soup. maybe she needs to try something more original.... like scallop soup.
