Each cast member must embody the charisma, uniqueness, nerve and talent that made RuPaul an international drag superstar. The judges will determine the bottom two contestants of the week. Those contestants then compete in a show-stopping battle-royal "lip-synch for your life" performance that will determine if they will "shante" and stay and who will "sashay" away until one is crowned America's next Drag Queen Superstar!

I watched the first episode last night. It's on LOGO. The gist is... RuPaul hosts a show. basically to find the best drag queen. The prizes are... to be featured on the same magazine cover that she was first featured on, some money.. and other stuff. lol It ringed kinda like Project Runway a lil bit.. well at least last night's episode did. The drag queens had to design their own outfits.. by using thrift store/dollar store finds  They were livid.  Btw, I've never seen RuPaul out of character until last night. Wowie. But yeah.. I like this show... LOTS of drama. There was an overweight 40something year old drag queen on there who was voted off. She was supposed to sing one of RuPaul's songs.. and dance.. lol She just fumbled all over the stage.. fell, sort of.. and all of that. Claimed to know more than the others.. because 'she had been performing for so long yah yah' but failed. RuPaul told her to Shante' off stage

I'm watching the first episode right now. I have to admit I was surprised to see RuPaul come in with no drag.  The one in the green(Keith IRL, i think?) is creepy. Nina Flowers, WOW. So far, effin love the show. Always loved RuPaul.

Is there no love for this show? It's not bad. Anyway, the second season is about to start, and a good friend of a good friend of mine has a shot at making it as a finalist. Her name is Pollo Del Mar and she's from San Francisco. She's an activist and does a lot for the community, and there's a growing campaign to get her on the show. How does that happen? You go online and vote for her. http://rupaulcasting.com/people/PolloDelMar I'd love it if someone from SF got on. The drag performers of the SF scene have always been more influenced by Divine than by RuPaul. They are the worsters of the drag scene. The only thing I ask is that you play by the rules. This is a serious thing and I don't want to fuck it up for anyone. So, once a day from each computer. Thanks!

^^ "Chicken of the Sea" is the most popular brand of tuna in the US. You may be familiar with Jessica Simpson's televised confusion over the matter. But yeah, I love drag names. Pollo Del Mar is a genius one.

Submissions accepted until July 1, 2009 at 11:59 AM EST. * Upload 2 new videos: o Perform another musical number from an approved list of songs (SEE BELOW). o Give us a behind the scenes tour of your wardrobe, and point out a few of your favorite outfits. * Write at least one blog entry that describes an ideal performance for you. Where would it be? Who would you perform alongside? What celebrities would have in the audience and why? Let your imagination go wild! Round 3 ? The Grand Finale July 1 ? July 8 Submissions accepted until July 8, 2009 at 11:59 AM EST. After this round, the number one top vote getter (who meets eligibility) will get a spot to audition for the show. Bottom line: Pollo is currently #9 and should make it to round 2. We will have to vote hard later on, though. Only one person from the web votes actually gets on the show.
