This is that Idol clone where the judges can't see the contestants. It's supposed to be airing on NBC this summer, but here's a thread about Holland's version. Basically the producers don't take any fuglies from the cattle calls, which completely defeats the purpose of the show. However, it is the number one show in the Netherlands.

If Blake Shelton is half as funny on this as he is on his Twitter feed, I might have to tune in.

So the 4 judges are Christina, Blake Shelton, Adam Levine and Cee-Lo Green. At least I love Cee-Lo.
The skeleton of Carson Daly is the host.

Blake Shelton is funny, I seen him on a few other things. Cee-Lo is hilarious as well. This show will be a trainwreck that I will be watching.

Wow. They are actually putting some money into this thing. They must want to sink X Factor.

Brit Keener, a girl who has attended AI dress rehearsals/show tapings and provided spoilers in the past, said that her friend informed her...that Christina chose Frenchie Davis to be on her "team of 8 contestants".

Frenchie joined the cast of 'Rent' on Broadway shortly after she was bounced from 'Idol.' She was Effie in the West Coast touring company of 'Dreamgirls' and was part of a nationwide tour of 'Ain't Misbehavin' with Ruben Studdard (it was excellent). If this show isn't a complete fiasco (which I'm afraid it will be), Frenchie could finally get the break she deserves.

Hopefully they don't edit Cee-Lo's crazy too much, have any of you seen his interview with Janelle Monae? And Christina is known to be a bitch who takes herself way too seriously. There's so much potential.

I'm pretty sure Xtincta will do what J-Lo did and hide the Diva inside. Instead, she will say things about how wonderful a person is and act humble. Then each contestant will have to mention how amazingly talented she is at some point.

The Voice to have Strong Social Media component:The Hollywood Reporter Quote : NBC has announced that its upcoming musical competition series, The Voice, will have a strong online and social media component, tapping G4’s Attack of the Show host Alison Haislip as its backstage correspondent. "Alison's revolutionary role will give front row access to fans and bring them face-to-face with our contestants and coaches," said Paul Telegdy, evp of alternative programming at NBC and Universal Media Studios. "We want our artists to be ambassadors for themselves and the show and Alison is the ideal person to lead the charge online and bring fans an unprecedented and ongoing interactive experience." The show will provide viewers with access to the competitors through the NBC.com website and social media. The show will feature a “V-Room,” where artists will speak with Haislip after their performances and talk to fans through social media.

I know we don't have a lot of country music followers here, but I'm really interested to see Blake Shelton on this show. He's fucking hilarious...and drunk... and high. All.The.Time.

The idea that the Judges somehow don't know who is singing is retarded.

Good for Alison Haislip. G4 screwed her over big time when the recast the host of Attack of the Show. As in, the producers told her the job would be hers when former host Olivia Munn officially left and then some IBW with no nerd credentials got the job instead.
Cannot wait for this trainwreck. The fights between the judges should be priceless. "You thought that bitch could sing? She sounds very fat and very full of herself."

Exactly.
If we already know Frenchie is there - how is it they won't know when she is singing?

Lukas Rossi from Rockstar:Supernova is also competing. So this show is basically a 2nd chance for all the rejects of past singing shows. The sad thing is Lukas Rossi won Supernova and still has to come on another show to try and make it.
I think the judges are able to see the contestants after their 1st performance just not before their original audition. It's still pretty shady though. Are the judges not able to read the contestants' applications?

It's all fake. The producers tell the judges who to keep.
