Okay I am starting a thread for this show at the risk of looking like a frau. This is totally not the type of show I would normally watch and I hate Disney, but this show has really grabbed my attention because it's new and different from everything else out there. The writing seems to be really good too. Yes, the kid is barely tolerable, but I <3 the Evil Queen Regina forever, Ginnifer Goodwin is a goddess, the main character Emma is decent and I want to bang Prince Charming and the yummy Sheriff.[/tard]

I hope this show lasts a while, but it seems expensive. It's getting decent ratings (Top 20 but not Top 10). I'm thinking they'll probably kill Henry off and end it whenever he hits puberty. The actor is 11 so they had better pray he's not an early bloomer because I have a feeling it won't be pretty.

I know other people here are watching this. Thoughts?

I've been wanting to watch this, especially since Pan Am got cancelled, and I hear it's good, so I'll probably catch up on the episodes online during my winter break. Only 4 episodes have aired so far, right?

When this and Grimm both began this season, I expected Grimm to be far superior. I was wrong, it's a POS cop procedural.

I am definitely enjoying this more than expected, and surprised that I don't hate Jennifer Morrison. The concept is quite interesting, but am curious just how long they can go for.

You don't have the prerequisite tard tattoo or slash porn. The stakes are higher these days when it comes to achieving full fraudom.

Yeah, I tried to watch Grimm but it's just a cop show where all the criminals have dumb looking CGI animal heads and each case relates to a fairy tale.

Yeah when I first saw the trailers I thought Grimm was gonna be the superior show, but I've been hearing much better things about this one lately.

I have a lot of stuff to catch up with first but this is definitely on my list at some point.

FAG, I join you in the admiration. The costumes (in the flashbacks) are just wonderful. I find myself watching each one twice just because they are so pretty. And the writing is good. Last week's episode with Jiminy Cricket was really entertaining and managed to advance the storyline.

Chaozaru. I agree about Grimm. It's a bad procedural with a gimmick and special effects.

I love this show. I think the writing and acting is great. Prince Charming Paula The kid is annoying but I can deal with him.I love how it goes back and forth from modern day to fairytale land.

Luckily the kid was barely in this episode, although I felt like he should have walked in when Mary Margaret and Charming were arguing.

Prince Charming is such a bad actor but I don't care.

The Sheriff is hot too but is tainted by the Evil Queen's vadge now.

I do like the show a great deal. Like you said, FAG, it's so different from everything else out there it's refreshing to watch.

I like that they're stretching out the storyline with Prince Hottie and Snow White rather than doing the whole immediate "happily ever after thing" like so many other shows do.

I love Mr. Gold/Rumpelstiltskin. Creepy, creepy, creepy.

Well it lost a million viewers from last week, but it will probably still get renewed. I don't mind if it only lasts two seasons, but it better get a happy ending.

^ That surprises me. I thought the Jiminy Cricket story was the best episode so far. The characters are developing backbone.

ETA- tablet with a mind of its own.

Why does it have to have a happy ending?

It might go up some when football is over.

It's called Once Upon a Time so IT HAS TO END WITH "THEY LIVED HAPPILY EVER AFTER".

Isn't this the #1 new drama of the season? I doubt it goes anywhere anytime soon.

I agree though that it's a very good show. Excited for the new episode sunday even though I spoiled myself by reading online who dies :(

Dropping a few points after a big premier is normal. The fact that it took a few episodes for this to happen is the big surprise. I could see this show going 3-4 seasons easily.

The more we see the more it seems Rumpelstiltskin has his hands in just about all different fairy tales in this show. No doubt he turns out to be the ultimate villian by the end of this season.

I really wanted to like this show, but the producers are just recycling their plot devices and storyline from the final season of "Lost"...

The Oceanic survivors who, in an alternate "limbo" reality, had to remember their previous lives together before they could move on have simply been replaced with fairy tale characters who, in an alternate reality, don't remember their previous lives together.

Same premise, none of the mystery.

Well, considering that some of the writers from Lost are also writing this show it's to be expected. The part where no one(except Emma) can leave the town is also very Lost-like.

Possible spoilers if you haven't seen this week's episode...

Did they seriously kill off the eye candy in episode seven?! Prince Charming reminds me of the goombas from the Super Mario Bros movie, and I'm going to cut a bitch if it's between him, Jiminy Cricket, and Henry for the rest of the season. Whatevia

He seems like too important of a character to be disposed of completely, yet he was too much of a plot advancement liability to allow him to retain all of his knowledge. Coma redux?
