I have several questions about this website dealing directly with Mission, Vision, and sense of purpose during the off season. If nothing else, at least this may be a catch all thread?

One thing that I have always been curious about the VFTW website is what do the Admins, that run this joint, expect of members during the off-season of Idol?

Should we keep up a community or should we just disappear and come back when the next crapfest starts?

Does this site cost more to run during AI or is it about even throughout the year? Do you decrease server capacity or how does that work?

I've read where many admins and moderators alike tell people "you add nothing to the site." What do you feel is adding to VFTW? What type of posts waste bandwidth? (Other than the obvious tards that venture here?)

Just curious. I hope someone can answer. If nothing else, maybe this forum needed a "dumb-question" thread?

Last year, Spoon, we hung out and laughed at NGAB. Then AI detective work kicked in until AI7 started. As well as Worster radio, for those working on that behind the scenes. Some people stick around for CI after AI, some only drop in for AI. It's up to them. And so the cycle continues...

Everyone does their own thing. Some are here year-round, others just during AI. Whenever people ask what's the deal here, I tell them to read around for a while and you'll get the feel.

Costs a lot less during the off season. We're on 3 servers during Idol. 1 right now.

Join in watching and possibly voting on other shows. While we can't vote for Canadian Idol, join us in watching. FAG has been generous enough to hookup a webcam and broadcast the Atlantic feed. Also, there are other summer shows, such as Big Brother which usually has some sort of voting (off and on). In the fall, who knows what will be on, but I'm sure we'll be able to vote.

We can stay a community, but just remember that there isn't much that goes on during the off season of Idol (American and Canadian).

Adding to the site means bringing (newsworthy) updates on past contestants. Keeping an eye out for potential candidates (via other Idol related websites and message boards). But more imporantly during Idol season, READ what others post and ADD to it; don't repeat the same shit ad nauseum. Do not feel the need to make a post w/ the clappy guy, the laughy blue fukker or an ITA! Research the contestants (myspace, facebook, google). And most importantly, BE FUNNY dammit.
