Hi, everybody. I love you all to pieces, but y'all are killing me with the incorrectly-posted links here.

So please allow me to point something out - links do not go live automatically anymore. That went out when the site went through its changes this past spring.

For example, let me just copy a link from somewhere and paste it in here:

http://www.votefortheworst.com/

Try clicking on it. You can't, can you? See what I mean?

Now, you may be thinking, "So what, now I have to go through extra steps? Fuck you, asshole!", but I'm countering with "Quitcher bitchin', it's easy!"

1) The next time you post a link, first hit Ctrl-L on your keyboard.

2) Paste or type the URL (link) into the box that appears.

3) Hit OK under where you just typed the link.

4) Then, you'll see the link posted in its proper format. From there, simply type whatever you want to type. That is how the link will appear.

For example, I hit CTRL-L. In the little box, I type http://www.votefortheworst.com/, hit OK, then type "Vote For The Worst". It would come out like this:

Vote For The Worst

And it only takes an extra second or two. You post here, so there's an excellent chance that you grasp the concept of copy/paste. You've already copied. Just CRTL-L and paste.

Then, people will actually GO to the page you want them to. Because nobody wants to type the URL into the address bar. Half the people who use computers don't even know how to do that, or to copy and paste...the other half do, but just simply don't find it worth the effort.

Post a proper link, however, and other posters here are more likely to engage in conversation. Also, we won't have to fix your links all the time.

^^^For those who like to point and click instead of typing, the funny little icon that looks like a Star Wars TIE fighter but is two 'links' in a chain will open up the same dialog box as typing Ctrl-L.

My browser has security settings that don't automatically allow the dialog box to pop up. If that happens, right click on the warning message then right click to allow scripted windows. You will have to type Ctrl-L again or click on the Link icon again but the setting will last until the browser is closed.

in any social website that give permission to you for posting something what ever you won't so can just find that where is small button of post replay and click it and send what you won't to post

I believe DavidAbraham is practicing his English as a second (or 3rd, 4th...) language. I remember when I met the handful of Iranian students new to campus (pre Iranian Hostage stalemate). They'd read the newspaper while doing laundry and practice writing our alphabet in the margins. We'd have simple conversations at first to help them with listening and speaking. I have high respect for anyone learning a new language, especially when it's written in a different alphabet.

Well it seems we got the image attachment worked out . and that was nice , but what i realy wanted to know was how to post a link . when i press browse i get the desktop open for choosing, no way to get to the favorites menu. so i moved the link to the desktop and tried from there but that is a shortcut and cant function that way . it would be nice to be able to share some of my links on the bord here even tho most of them came from here.
