Why does Hollie speak twin, while her brother has no trouble with English?

Funny, I thought English was what they spoke over there in ... England.

Her muddled accent isn't a shock. It's pretty common in transplants, depending on how old they are when they get there and also how prone they are to the change. Some people (even moving between US states) will pick up the new accent within days, others never will.

I think she moved when she was 8, so her accent is some sort of crazy Liverpool/Dallas hot honeyed mess

^^Its like the reverse of Vadge's accent, except she wasn't exactly 8 when she moved to EnglandLaughLaugh

She reminds me of a young Olivia Newton-John.

She reminds me of an IBW.

She reminds me of this little albino girl that grew up on my street.

Well, I made that up. But she's totally albino.

VFTW Fantard

She reminds me of someone who will never win American Idol and will be forgotten a couple of weeks after she's voted off.

She's already been forgotten.

Wouldn't surprise me if she was bottom 3. The bottom 3 will be Elise/Erika/ (Hollie or DeAndre)

From what I saw on the scary boards today, a lot of people think DeAndre will be leaving us tonight.

As do I.

I wouldn't be surprised if Hollie was in the B3 tonight. It's more of a "TPTB want to scare her tards into voting harder because she's only coming in around the middle in vote totals" kind of B3 appearance. A total outlier.

AI usually likes their winners untarnished. If she can survive this hot mess of a performance without a b3 appearance, she's probably a mortal lock for the top 5, which means more opportunity for a crazy accent and failed attempt at going uptempo

I read she was 10 ... Either way, 8-10 years. Sounds like the family travels back and forth a fair bit as well, which adds to the accent confusion.

I do have to admit hers is a little weird. Normally, they'll have more of an American accent with a few throwbacks when they're talking normally, but when they get excited (or in my case, drunk), that's when the home country comes out. She's the exact opposite!

Haha I moved to Burleson, Texas, when I was 11 and when I get drunk I get a little country

This one is one death spot and dreary ballad away from a ticket home.

She's good fodder. Whoever said she looked like a fan was spot on. She just doesn't look or act like an Idol contestant to me at all.

^^^ I like her because of that, but she's way too Broadway and that usually doesn't get you far on Idul (but it may well land her a spot actually on Broadway).

I think I like her because she looks like a fan, as opposed to Jessica who was engineered to win Idol
