There's a rumor going around that Kat's McDad hired a PR firm to text vote for her Tuesday night. Anyone heard anything about this one, or is it just a Katty rumor?

I don't think her father would be above doing that in order to secure her victory, just means we have to work twice as hard!

So far, I've seen no reliable documentation on this, and I haven't even heard the PR group's name. When you think about it, it sounds like a poor investment on McPhather's behalf. Unless the PR firm is going to blanket LA with PSAs telling people to vote for Kat, I don't see what good getting 60-100 employees to text is going to do. If they're going to text more than 1,000 votes apiece, they'll probably get disqualified anyway.

Mother McPhee should get Kim Jong Il to bully his entire country to vote in exchange for Kat's hand in marriage. Of course, North Korea only has ten cell phones, so that might also not do much good. I just want to see what kind of kids Kat and Kim produce.

I think that rumor got started because a couple of posters on MJ's blog and the guy who runs the Gray Charles website made a couple of comparisons between Kat and Veruca Salt from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. In the movie, Veruca's father hires a company to unwrap Wonka bars until someone finds a Golden Ticket...I think this was someone's way of stretching the metaphor.
