I don't get most current teenspeak. If and when I say "Pots and pans, blitches", I mean it completely out of it's intended context. Pots and pans, blitches! I feel old! Now that I've seen her audition, and I can imagine that sentence coming out of that little squeaky speaking voice, X 1,000,000. And so VFTW-worthy...pots and pans, blitches, I hope it stays that way! Now I really have something to look forward to come voting time.

I think she's trying to tell us that she enjoys having intercourse with the homeless.

I had never heard 'pots and pans' either. My daughter (jr. in h.s.) was writing an article for the school paper on their particular slang. One of the words was 'sod', which means 'lame'. So she asked me what we said when I was in h.s. (30 years ago next year) and I said 'lame'. Her comment was "'lame' has been around that long?" That made me feel old. At least she didn't write about how the kids use 'gay' for 'lame'. I've told her that that is offensive.

I once tried to tell a kid that "gay" actually meant people of the same gender who like each other and he was like "No it doesn't! It just means really REALLY retarded!"

I work with a 21 year old who uses gay in that context. Drives me nuts, I tell her off when I hear it. I love pretend gangstas! I used to live in a neighbourhood that is predominantly Jewish and we had little homeboys who wore yarmulkes under their baseball caps, hung around outside 7/11 and spoke in pseudo Brooklyn-ese accents And yet so white they glowed I can't wait to see this chick

Quote "Smartie": I love pretend gangstas!... I can't wait to see this chick We have them at the malls - DJ Jazzy Ethan... And as appalling as it is for middle-class black parents, I can't imagine what the white or asian ones go through. I tried to explain to my stepson (age 19) that the too large clothes come out of the prisons, where they can't be bothered with the correct sizes. I told him that the message he's sending is that he aspires to '3 hots and a cot'. I even hoped that Kayne West (tho I don't like him much) would help push the kids more towards dressing well. I mean even Snoop Dogg trying to change his image, for Christ's sake. But the oversized pants and hoodies just won't die...

Quote "thefunnystone": You say this prematurely. Ah, but the question for me, is what will she do to establish 'street cred'? I think she should follow the Fantasia Keeping It Real plan: Perez on Fantasia Read the bottom entry about her va-jay-jay... The infamous hairstyle Will she get the funky hairdo? "Keeping it real, real stupid..." - Chris Rock "When 'keeping it real' goes wrong" - Dave Chappelle So far, lots of talk. Blitch, you need to walk the walk...

I actually watched Tyra[/b:4563d5b905] today. She had the "Bad Girls Club" girls on and got so disgusted at one point, that she walked off her own set. And the stupid girls were just sitting there, "Did she leave?" "Is she coming back?" "What did we do?" I need a job...
