Her EP that she composed through her Kickstarter funding was released to the backers of the project today. I backed $10 so I got a digital download of it, it's actually pretty good. 9 songs total. It is pretty inconsistent though. Half of it is cutesy sunshiney music and the other half is kinda trip-hop. She's either Ingrid Michaelson or she's Portishead. Regardless, she sounds better than I remember her sounding and apparently she's planning on officially releasing it digitally next month. So good for her.

Her album sounds great but why did it take her so long to officially release it? Didn't she post all those songs last year?

The songs sound almost quirky enough to be on Grey Anatomy. They feel like there were two producers fighting over which way to go, simple and organic or slick and technical. If either had won, it might have turned out better.

I'm wondering what happened to her other songs. Half of those are not as good as "Boy Next Door", "I'm Not Trying To Hear That" and "Never Never". I hate that cover. She looked frogged and hammered.
