It's rumored that one of the all-time VFTW Could've Beens still refuses to get a real job and is trying out for X Factor!1!

Oh come on, he's not going to make it so it's not worth resurrecting this.

Simon wants him

I have a feeling there will be no rules on X Factor and anyone can make it. Even OJ Simpson in a few years!

Does anyone know if he got through to the next round. I know some other Idol people were auditioning.

Stevie Wright and Danny Noriega are the only other ones I know that tried out. I'm sure there are some more.

So I'm in Korea now and occasionally I turn on the music channel. They have a show called "Superstar K" which is basically their version of "Idol." A few weeks ago I was randomly watching auditions and who did I see? None other than the whiney orphan who got kicked out of the Top 24 two years ago, Chris Golightly! I was astounded. Here's the video if you need proof.

Apparently he's been working as a songwriter in Korea (and co-wrote Jewelry's "Back it Up," a song I actually like). He was inspired by his former season-mate John Park to try out for the show, as John had appeared in the previous season of Superstar K.

I guess I don't blame the guy for following his dreams, but whoring yourself out to different countries' reality shows seems a bit desperate. Right now he's in the "Hollywood" stage, and he seems to be getting his share of screentime. I just hope if he makes it big I don't have to hear his sob story about being an orphan every time I want to see some music videos.

At least he won't be on X Factor... this year.

I think he could do really well in Bulgarian Idol singing "Ken Lee" Laugh

As long as we don't see him on AI or US X Factor.

The North, I suspect.

Good riddance. North America is a bit better today knowing this.

According to the Korean press, someone's been taking advantage of his female fans. Who would want to have sex with him is what I wonder.

To be fair, based on that article I don't see what the scandal is other than banging a few hos.

He is reported to have flatly denied the rumors. “I'm leaving for America today. Lies really hurt me, and I am very sad for the people who make up stories. Goodbye Korea,” he said on Jan. 30.
But you haven't visited the North yet!

Chris was still a fodder here in Korea so nobody cares about the scandal.

Wasn't popular, was always whiny about his ex-girl friend who dumped him.

Chris' singing "Run Devil Run" by Girl's Generation.- Korean Idol

Sucked hard. It was his last performance as far as I remember.

^^This thread is full of FUN! I boycotted S9 and missed this. Reading from the beginning, why would any show give him a chance? But that they are will be hilarious.
