Oh, hamburgers! Location: Hag Supastar!

What a slimy douche.

I will bet that this WILL be addressed in Hollywood.

Cue the tears, and the "I never meant for any child to be hurt, I just wanted to put on a good show, and we ran out of money...and that's why I'm really here, on AI, I want to make it so I can pay back all those kids who lost out" Boo Hoo.

LIAR.

Why are there no criminal charges??

ETA: Great article Dave. When I get home from work, I plan to post a link to it on my Facebook account. I have quite a few friends who watch AI because they genuinely believe that AI really does find the most talented person in America. So I really love to make them aware of what kind slimeball cheaters/scammers get on that show.

Nice job of trying to shame him into doing the right thing, Dave. I would give him ONE chance before declaring him a con-artist, but guys like this will swear blind they are going to come through and seldom if ever pay up.

Smartie that is a good one. Laugh

You know a pair of $300 jeans don't grow on trees. It's like a punch line;

"How much of kid's "dreams" money does it take to buy you a brand new pair of $300 jeans? Depends on how many kids you get to pay a performance fee"

Maybe Todrick is doing Idol so he can pay back all those kids he ripped off? You know, the humanitarian thing to do.

Once they said I had to make a check out to "Mr. Money" I would've smelled a rat.

Great, evenhanded article Dave. The reality is the "Todrick as innocent victim" explanation loses credibility when three separate legs of the Iz tour had the same problems, and CinderellaRock is factored in. It happened over and over again.

Also, I want to know who "Mr. Money" is. Todrick has friends lurking here or posting to defend him, so c'mon. Who is the mysterious bad guy producer who supposely made Todrick look bad---over and over again?

It would be different if "Mr. Money" had stopped after the first ponzi scheme didn't work, but then he continued doing it with Cinderalla Rock.

Not to parrot what everyone else has said here, but, either this guy has horrible judgment in his choice of business partners, or he's a fucking scumbag, pure and simple. I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm inclined to believe the latter. Quite frankly, it's a miracle that he's not facing multiple criminal indictments at this time. Regardless of his level of guilt in this situation, the dude should be forced to reimburse any aggrieved parents for payments made towards cancelled shows, or he shouldn't be allowed to appear on Idol. It's that simple.

^^ I couldn't agree more. I don't understand why none of the parents have filed criminal charges.

WARNING: Expletive-ridden rant

This bastard is a scumbag, a liar, and a pitiful waste of good protoplasm. This piece of shit ripped off kids, and scammed some seasoned professionals as well. All he did was give promoters and street team people like myself a bad name. Many of us have a hard enough time without motherfuckers like Fraudrick screwing people over to give himself a $300 pair of jeans. He probably has a $5000 home theater, while honest people have to get by with a $300 Dynex TV and $20 jeans on special at Modell's.

Seriously, one of the first things a promoter in Minneapolis told us that there are two rules regarding the treatment of artists: 1) no matter how good or bad they performed, DO NOT screw the artists. 2)If you are in a position where you may have to screw over the artist, re-read rule #1. This lowlife apparently did not read the rules. As far as I am concerned, he should have his balls cut off and fed to him by every parent that got scammed.

And, yes, I did read Dave's post. He was VERY, if not TOO, evenhanded. Dave should be commended for it because he showed class in that post. More than Fraudrick deserves, and definitely more than I would have given him. Kudos.

i have discovered i am 2 people away from Todrick. But she is a good friend of mine, so I'll drop subtle questions in a non-intimidating fashion.

"If he is already a Broadway star, like yourself, why does he need American Idol?"

"what about the kids he jipped out of money in those kid musicals???"

I guess there is a bright side to Fraudrick allegedly being in the Top 24 this season. With the details of "Munchkin-Gate" spread all over the Idol blogosphere, the Frau are going to despise him. This will particularly be the case if the chatter that he got in over their latest lust object, Ben Honeycutt, is true. Pissed-off frauen = lower Idol viewership = the death of Idol = VFTW Victory

My favorite quote from innocent Todrick (Thanks for finding this again for me, Snotty)

"No one can legally do anything to me."

Kind of pompous, no?

PLEASE NOTE

Be cautious when Googling Todrick. If you see lots of the same results in Google, such as

Quote :
She says the musical's writer/director Todrick Hall flew in from . .... Todrick Hall is writer and director of Oz The Musical. ...
and
Quote :
Todrick Hall, the show's writer and director, told NewsChannel 5 that . ... stage director Todrick D. Hall (whose previous credits include Oprah's Broadway ...
over and over, do NOT click the links. It will only take you to sites with virii and trojans. Be careful, read the Google results carefully before going further.

he's def going to be screwed when hes in the top 24 . the kids and parents are interested in the entertainment field and most of them probably watch ai. so take 3000+ kids plus their parents and families.then add the friends and communities. i would so love the audience who heard about this start booing him when he goes on stage lol

^^^^That's if they even let him in the Top 24. If this explodes, they may have to do to him what they did to JoPlanta Pigshitti and bounce his sorry ass.

Good point, Smartie. I Googled Todrick Oz the Musical, clicked on a link and got a Firefox warning about the page. Someone's using his infamy to spread viruses? Even more reason to despise Todrick.

They're not targeting Todrick specifically - it's spammers seizing upon popular search words. Look up J D Salinger and you'll get the same problem. Do not take this trojan thing as anything directly connected to Todrick please.

This thing is blowing up like the Pascitti scandal last season, I give it about a week before they boot him to the curb.

No one's going to mention that the guy is really only mediocre as a singer?

And what kind of douchebag has the nerve to sing such a stupid stupid 'original' song for an audition?

Given this and his shaky history, wouldn't he make the ideal VFTW candidate?
