^ I really can't stand this guy but if he made it to the top 10 and the NY Times found out about all this stuff and found out that he's a Plant , it'd be fun times watching Idol jump through hoops trying to keep their good reputation. I agree with Joey though, he'll be gone within a week.

Do these people REALLY think that their pasts won't be found out and made public??

Do they really think that no one will care about my buddy at 19E/Fox/my gay stripping past/my multimillion dollar album deal/the kids and families I swindled/etc.??

I am honestly in shock that THIS late in the game, season NINE...after all the scandals that VFTW has broken, idiot auditioners still think their shit doesn't stink ENOUGH to be found out.

Jesus Christ, VFTW should be the independant agency that vets political candidates.

One of the hallmarks of sociopathy is the inability to plan ahead. It's what makes sociopaths sociopaths -- they don't consider consequences.

Quote "thefunnystone":
My favorite quote from innocent Todrick (Thanks for finding this again for me, Snotty)

"No one can legally do anything to me."

Kind of pompous, no?

Yes, it is. Here's the full quote from that link:

Quote :
Hall said that if the Dec. 8 show turns a profit, he will use the money to refund the dancers who were never repaid in July.

"No one can legally do anything to me. I'm doing this because it's morally and ethically the right thing to do," he said.

What I get from this is that he legally buried himself behind a corporation, limited partnership, or limited liability company, so that any potential lawsuit can be directed at that shell company, not at him. He knows how to set up a business so that his personal assets are protected. Todrick is an experienced businessman, with a legal advisor; he's not a shlub who got in over his head.

Rumor has it that Todrick bought himself a new set of teeth with profits from Oz. Not kidding. That sure costs more than $300 jeans.

No one's going to mention that the guy is really only mediocre as a singer?

And what kind of douchebag has the nerve to sing such a stupid stupid 'original' song for an audition?

Given this and his shaky history, wouldn't he make the ideal VFTW candidate?

Hate to admit it but I didn't think his voice was bad. I just watch the episode last night. His personality came off douchy but the voice was pretty good. With some training he would do fine.

Well, it certainly didn't take this season long to be associated with scandal and scum.

Dave, I just emailed you at the vftw general mail account, and attached filings from the Texas Secretary of State on Magic Money Productions.

It was formed January 27, 2009 in Texas, as an LLC, and the two officers are Greg Money's wife and daughter. Neither Greg or Todrick are listed in the filing. I found no corporate listing at all for Todrick Hall or Drama'l Productions in Texas. Unless Todrick incorporated in another state, maybe Todrick's not as protected as he thinks he is.

Finally somebody at mjs gives some insight and answers into specifically what happened. After all the lame defenses on the homepage, at least this gives a tad bit more information about what might have happened. It doesn't absolve Todrick Hall but it suggests he is more dumb and incompetent than sinister:

Quote :
Unfortunately Todrick signed up to do his shows with a couple of men who were not show business savvy and were making poor choices such as waiting until the last minute to book a venue (because of fears they wouldn?t have enough children sign up). The producer wasn?t bright enough to realize that if you don?t book a venue you can?t advertise the performance and if you can?t confirm a performance date you can?t advertise auditions and charge kids to be in a show that isn?t secured at a venue! Because THEN it?s shady?.. If the producer had just booked the venue he would?ve been able to get a whole lot of kids to come out and do the show because they?d have security the show would actually happen but because he didn?t and because he didn?t give his team of people enough time to publicize auditions and what not there wasn?t enough money/publicity/support generated and the shows didn?t happen?

It?s all very sad and obnoxious and unfortunate if the project had been planned with organization and care it really would?ve been not only a tremendous opportunity for so many kids to perform alongside professionals in a great production but it would?ve been an amazing opportunity to showcase a phenomenal talent in Todrick Hall. He is a skilled writer, singer, and dancer and will hopefully have a chance to succeed on Idol so that he can rectify what happened with the families that have been left disappointed and angered and can move on and have the chance to be a productive artist in the industry without controversy.

While the producer was making foolish decisions and while the marketing team was trying their best to make things work and fight the producer on the more cryptic decisions Todrick was busy with rehearsing the actors and preparing for the show? his involvement was artistic and did not include the business side of it. Unfortunately because his name is all over the project it will be his name that is spoiled and not the greedy and incompetent producer that sabotaged the project?.

If this is true, it gives a clearer picture into the mess BUT nothing, and I mean nothing justifies charging kids and families $75 dollars for the right to be in a supposedly professional production. And ultimately, Todrick signed off on that decision by allowing it to happen, so he should be held responsible for it too.

Just how many producers were there? Todrick listed himself as one, and there's a Nic Farish who lists himself as one...This all smells highly. Todrick is so quick to blame these nameless, faceless producers when he WAS ONE.

smartie i think your avatars sums it up perfect lol

Also these people act like last year was the first time he put on the oz .the youtube links i put up showed he has experience in putting on the show. and know what is needed to do it. then claims that he had no idea what was going on in the background.im sure if he was a newbie trying to get the show going then failed it would've been a different story. then he could say that i was in over my head .my question is . was last year the only incidents or is there more from when he put on the show a year before

Jeez, 113 comments about this guy on the front page. A LOT of the "defense" comments sure as hell sound like they're coming from the same person, too.

Anyway, DAVE, THE FRONT PAGE SHITTER'S FULL.

Once again, an attempt to blame it all on "the Producers" without actually naming anyone. Who were these Producers? Well, we KNOW Toddrick was one, so he's hardly absolved. These "explanations" are little more than smoke and mirrors and hand-waving, the sure sign of a slickster.

I am one of the kids Todrick scammed with this CinderellaROCK bull shit.I am not upset and hurt I wasn't able to be a part of this "wonderful opportunity." I am stark raving mad! This evil, demonic, possessed, pathetic excuse for a human being got two cronies to come and collect money from kids and their parents.

The parents and children were not stupid for paying $60 to be in a "national tour". As this article states it was presented as a class and an opportunity to meet actors from New York. Most times when a child participates in theater or dance the parents/child need to pay money/help build sets/help make costumes in order for the child to learn some skill or get a chance to perform.

This "man" got a hold of a dance teacher and told her to tell her students and her daughter's friends about it and about how it was a great opportunity. The dance teacher knew no more than the parents and children. I will say that it was quite foolish for the dance teacher to support this without more information. However if a friend/teacher of your's told you about a fun opportunity would you doubt them? This "man" needs to be brought to justice!

I personally would vote that he be tarred and feathered on the AI stage, but I doubt that will happen. I just hope that some how karma bites him in the ass.

Right. I'm sure good old Todrick is going to take his earnings from AI and make good with the families and kids. In fact, that's probably his sole reason for wanting to be on Idol; to give back, to right past wrongs, to inspire. Oh, well bless his heart. No, really. Whatevia

If...BIG If...he makes it through AI and releases a CD, I'm guessing there will be a plea to buy the cd so that he can get the money to pay those kids back. And then if (another BIG if) there is a second album, we'll hear that the label kept too much of the profits from the first and how THIS will be the album to pay the children back. And so on....
