- Cher Maendel is from Manitoba.

- Auditioned 3 times. Got cut before celebrity judges round in CI1. Got cut in the Top 48 in CI2. Made the Top 32 in CI3 and failed to get into the Top 10.

- Most pimped contestant in CI history. Cher's audition was featured in CI2 (she was shaking her ass). In the Toronto rounds, she complained to the camera that her luggage was lost. Her solo performance was shown briefly. She returned in CI3 as a "rocker chick". In CI3, Cher was the only contestant to be featured in all events of the Toronto rounds (solo, group performance, duet, and final solo). In her final solo before making the Top 32, she was the only contestant featured to sing one whole minute of her song. Other contestants, however, were only given 5 second worth of airtime. After her final solo performance, we hear her say her infamous quote "I FINALLY SHOWED THEM I CAN SING!"

- Pimping of Cher is probably due to the producer's desperation to put a Manitoban in the Top 10. The province of Manitoba has yet to be represented in the Top 10.

- Cher was placed in Group 1 in the semi-finals (the most talented group of contestants in CI history). She also had the "pimp spot" by going last. She butchered "Bohemian Rhapsody" with only an acoustic piano as the background. Cher got ridiculous amount of praise from all four judges that night when it was clear that the seven other contestants before her outsang and outperformed her.

- Unfortunately for Cher, she did not make the Top 10. Worse of all, she did not even make the Top 3 in her group. Even worse, she did not get invited back for the wildcard round. And even MUCH worse, the contestants that performed last (pimp spots) in Groups 2, 3, and 4 all made the Top 10 except for her. Basically, she was a lock in the Top 10 until she sabotaged herself by singing "Bohemian Rhapsody." It made Constantine's rendition brilliant! This is proof that pimping in Canadian Idol NEVER works!

- Luckily for Cher, she can audition again and again and again! Top 32 contestants are allowed to audition again. Maybe she can finally show us she can sing for many years to come!

I loved all of group 1 including Cher, minus Dariah. Did she really audition again? Or was she just one of those guest judges?
