I heard the new Good Time single she did with Owl Shitty.

It made me sad.

I was looking for Cawwy Wae to save us from this awful dubstep junk that dominates the radio nowadays. But this new single sounds just like all the crap the other crappy people were already doing.

And Owl Shitty makes the song even worse than it is. His voice is overprocessed and has no dynamics at all. I suppose it could be a minor hit since it fits in with all the other "hits" of the day.

I thought with Payphone and Call Me Mabey at the top 2 for so long, maybe nice melodic pop was making a comeback, but I guess I was wrong...

I just read a quote from Cawwy Wae over on Billboard talking about her new album coming out next month:

Jepsen said of "Kiss" in a statement. "The record is pop. It's inspired by Robyn, the Cars, Madonna, and believe it or not, James Taylor."

Now, I really like those artists she mentioned, but I don't see how she sounds anything like them at all!

That is SUCH a typical Idol contestant comment. They all want to sound like a mixture of four different artists who are completely different from each other and/or the contestant. I'm surprised she didn't throw in the Beatles for good measure.

They had it embeded in the article. I listened to it and it sounded good. Much better than that duet with Owl Shitty.

From what I had read, it sounded as if Tonight I'm Getting Over You was going to be the next single, and This Kiss was just an iTunes promo single.
