Tabatha's Salon Takeover, Season 2, starts tonight. Tabatha has to be one of my all time favorite Reality Show Contestants. Is anyone else going to watch?

Quote:
ABOUT: "Tabatha's Salon Takeover," returns for a second season featuring the forthright and smartly styled Tabatha Coffey as she transforms the lives and businesses of salon owners in the Los Angeles, Chicago and Miami areas. The new season of Bravo's "Tabatha's Salon Takeover," premieres Tuesday, November 3rd at 10 p.m. ET/PT.

Fans first met Tabatha as an acerbic contestant on the first season of Bravo's "Shear Genius," and since that time she has increasingly earned respect for her unapologetic, brutally honest approach. Tabatha speaks from years of experience as a stylist and salon owner. Since her start as a salon assistant at the age of 14 in her homeland of Surfer's Paradise, Australia, she instantly fell in love with the field. At 15, she started a four-year apprenticeship program in Australia, and her love for hairdressing grew. Next she moved to London for eight years to continue her training, and has since been working in the beauty field in the U.S. for 19 years. She has a large clientele nationwide and owns the Industrie Hair Gurus salon in Ridgewood, New Jersey.

Entering the salon doors donned in her signature all-black attire and perfectly coiffed short blond hair, the awed reactions of the salon owners and stylists upon seeing her are a testament to the respect she has earned in the field. Love her or hate her, Tabatha's expertise is indisputable. The stakes are high for these salon owners, who literally can lose everything and quickly realize that in order to save their livelihoods, they need to step up to Tabatha's strict business and styling standards. She will stand for nothing less than passion and commitment from the stylists she coaches. Her critical eye probes the salons' customer service, cleanliness, professionalism, and overall styling techniques. This season, she will again make her recommendations for which stylists should have a higher profile in the salon, and which ones might need to take a step back. The end results are often dramatic and inspire all those who have come in contact with Tabatha to strive for only their best.

Dammit. I totally would, but we don't get Bravo. I used to get it, and we loved this show. Well, Graig loved it, and I got suckered into watching it... then causing me to love it.

I loved the tranny who screamed "SHE'S AN ANIMAL" last time.

Is this available online anywhere?

Probably on Bravo's website, Hulu or TV Guide. I linked the official site in the OP. It was a really good show tonight. I won't spoil it except to say that one girl actually got fired. I don't think that has happened before.

<3 Tabatha <3

I don't think they really "fired" that chick. They said they wanted to give her another chance. It looked more like she walked out on them because she was afraid of Tabs.

Oh my God I love Tabitha!

She's nasty personified! I saw in a promo she was holding a DEAD ROACH and screaming "This is not acceptable!"

I fucking missed the first episode but this shit's going on DVR.

Last night was funny. Not as good as the premiere, but still good for some lulz. Did the owner Pablo, really say: "My word is my balls?" Laugh

FAG, Lindsey was fired. Here's a Bonus Clip from Bravo that shows the scene.

Next week looks like a salon full of the Kings and Queens of Drama. It's the one from the Season 2 trailer where the big guy says: "She's a no very nice!" I'm a Tabatha Tard. I'll stop now. :(

I didn't watch last night's show yet. The one with that Lindsey though....my God what a bitch.

She knew she was not as good as the other stylists, and could not stand being called out. Putting BLEACH in the person's hair? I thought only the old ladies in Steel Magnolias used bleach.

Of course I am not a stylist, so maybe bleach is the norm?

Anyway, I was glad she got fired. I knew she was getting the boot from the first time she called Tabs an asshole.

Hehehe, my mom's best friend owns a salon, and was heavily courted for this show. But after reading the contract, she decided against it. She didn't want them tearing her salon all to hell and making her look like an idiot/bitch on TV.

^^ Seriously heidismiles? What was so bad about the contract that your Mom's friend wouldn't welcome a Salon makeover, sound business advice, and a free marketing blitz for the location?

Ask these questions and get back to us. I'm really curious. :)

I'm really curious also. It seems to me like it would benefit a salon to have the publicity and a makeover.

yes, heidismiles, inquiring minds want to know!

I watched Pablo's show..and when he said "my word is my balls" I almost lost it. I don't think I remember Tabitha ever smiling as much as she did when she was interacting with Alex.
(who was fabulous! he was my favorite part of the show!)

And that Joy....uhhh she claims she's come a long way from doing mullets and perms in South Dakota, but...once again, you can take the girl out of the trailer park, but you can't take the trailer park out of the girl.
She was atrocious.

Well, TBH I think the main thing was that my mom's friend is a total control freak :-p She just doesn't like being told what to do.

However, as for the contract, I don't think it was any one thing... I mean imagine an American Idol contract but for your salon. It was like that.
She just didn't want them coming in and making all those decisions for her, and tearing up the space and everything. And she wanted to maintain the homey atmosphere for the salon - she didn't want it to end up looking like a Paul Mitchell on Rodeo Drive, and she knew she wouldn't have any say in what goes on and many of the changes may have been very permanent.
Plus, I love this woman to death but she's kind of a bitch Laugh I think they would have had a field day with her on the show.

Since she's control freak I could see why she wouldn't want to do it. Although it would have made for a great episode. Laugh

Hahaha, I know... I was secretly hoping that she would have agreed, for my own amusement.

Missed opportunity for your Mom's Friend. If I was "heavily courted for this show" I would be assigning reality TV profiles, that matched their personalities, to the staff.

I would then ask them to: "Be over the top, make shit up" and go all out with VFTW level performances. Let's filthy this place up people and make it unacceptable! :clapshands

That way, my shop would be in every "Best of" for the rest of the series and hopefully beyond that in future reprises. I'd be embarrassed all the way to the bank, as would the staff I'm sure. Laugh
