I think they're struggling with the lyric sheets
You should definitely target UK viewers more, we definitely "get" it over here. I wouldn't know where to start though- I've been sending VFTW links to my friends here but this forum is more focused on AI and I think that puts them off. X Factor fans here tend to frequent the Digital Spy forums, even though Jedward get more hate there.
It's a shame fans in the Republic of Ireland can't vote, but amusing to see that they don't even need the Irish vote as those who are eligible to vote love them anyway... |

Danyl has his own Drake!
Danyl & Mystery Tranny>>>>>>>>>>>Adam & Drake
And here come the jelus H8ERS...
Quote: Were John and Edward hand-picked to be X Factor finalists as footage proves they auditioned TWICE?
link
Conspiracy theorists are having a field day after footage was posted on the internet of X Factor twins John and Edward Grimes at a second audition.
The Irish boys, who are loved and loathed in equal measure, qualified for the later stages of the competition after impressing judges with their routine in Glasgow.
However, home video footage, shot by a pair of unsuccessful contestants, places the 18-year-olds with big hair outside the London auditions three days earlier.
Fame seekers: John and Edward Grimes were spotted at the London auditions at the O2 Arena in May - days before their televised Glasgow one
The sighting has fuelled suspicions that Jedward were hand-picked by the judges as finalists for the reality contest.
When they sang the Backstreet Boys' I Want It That Way at their Glasgow audition in May, Simon said: 'Not very good and incredibly annoying. Two of the most irritating people we've had out here in a very long time.'
While fellow judges Walsh, Dannii Minogue and Cheryl Cole all gave them a 'yes', Simon was a definitive 'no'.
But when the clip of that Glasgow audition was shown, the judges gave no indication that they had seen the boys before.
However, if this footage posted on YouTube is genuine, Cowell and Co. must have seen them perform an audition at the O2 arena in London.
An X Factor spokesperson failed to clear the matter up, saying confusingly: 'There is always a pre-audition in front of the judges. They did a pre-audition in London then were asked to audition for the judges.
??
I'll love Jedward no matter what, but this story sounds strangely familiar. |

Is there a rule now that applicants are only allowed to show up at one venue?
Unless someone has footage of them in front of the judges at two different venues, then what is the problem.
Assuming that X-factor auditions work like Idol auditions, don't they audition in front of lower level "judges". Then if those "judges" like them, a few weeks later they will get to see the big judges. |

| Many contestants have tried out in multiple cities. How is this a scandal? Looks like Daily Mail or whatever just has no idea how the auditions work and thinks the celebrity judges see everyone. |

Ai had a songs-from-the-cinema theme last season, with Quentin Tarantino "mentoring". Unfortunately, the song choices created the usual snoozefest:
* Allison Iraheta - "I Don't Want to Miss a Thing" (Aerosmith) from Armageddon
* Anoop Desai - "(Everything I Do) I Do It for You" (Bryan Adams) from Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves
* Adam Lambert - "Born to Be Wild" (Steppenwolf) from Easy Rider
* Matt Giraud - "Have You Ever Really Loved a Woman?" (Bryan Adams) from Don Juan DeMarco
* Danny Gokey - "Endless Love" (Lionel Richie and Diana Ross) from Endless Love
* Kris Allen - "Falling Slowly" (Glen Hansard and Markéta Irglová) from Once
* Lil Rounds - "The Rose" (Bette Midler) from The Rose
More Ghostbusters, please. |

VFTW UK would be amazing, but unfortunately, all the Jedward hype over here is on the TV, radio, newspapers and word of mouth ... there seems to very little internet hype surrounding them. I'm yet to even find an X Factor fan forum, never mind a Jedward fan forum or anything :\
And then there's the whole voting issue ... it costs money to vote here so free international internet voting would be something of a challenge!

Quote: X Factor: jelus contestants complain Jedward are getting preferential treatment
link
Jelus X Factor stars have complained that Jedward are getting preferential treatment in their bid to win the show.
Some of the acts claim the 18-year-old Irish twins are given the most rehearsal time and best slots, handing them an unfair advantage over their rivals.
The boys – John and Edward Grimes – will perform a version of Ghostbusters tonight and are due to appear last.
Creative director Brian Friedman has also spent several hours with the duo this week, perfecting their routine.
But the move, coupled with huge public support for the pair, has sparked bitter resentment from their fellow hopefuls.
An X Factor insider said: “John and Edward have their most ambitious performance of the series tonight and have needed lots of rehearsal time to get it right but it has gone down like a lead balloon with some of their competitors.
“Some of the acts think it gives them an unfair advantage in the race to win the X Factor recording contract and have been bitching and moaning about it. Another bone of contention is slots. John and Edward are due to be the final act of the night. Simon Cowell isn’t an idiot and realises many viewers will be tuning in to see them. He wants to keep them watching until the end. But this has upset some of their rivals.
“Everyone likes to perform towards to end as it is closer to when the voting opens and their performances are obviously fresher in the public’s minds.”
The complaints come as the twins, who have been slashed to 6-1 to win by bookmakers, vowed to make Simon “eat his words” with their most outrageous performance yet.
They hope their version of the theme tune from hit film Ghostbusters will force the judge to admit they have The X Factor.
Edward told a friend: “We want to make Simon eat humble pie and prove to him we can sing.”
Mentor Louis Walsh added: “Simon should throw in the towel now. They are the only act everyone is talking about.”
Edward revealed someone on the show could get a “sliming” during their Ghostbusters act – but refused to say whether there would be any revenge attack on Simon for his criticism.
He added: “There is going to be loads of ghosts and loads of slime. Who would the viewers like to see get slimed?”
In a video diary the twins yesterday told how they have had fan mail from around the world.
Surrounded by posters and letters, Edward said: “We are bathing in it. There’s mail from Norway, Sweden and Hong Kong, literally everywhere.”
Dannii Minogue stormed off set yesterday after producers told her the seat swap with Louis is permanent.
The miffed 38-year-old watched the rest of rehearsals on a monitor in her dressing room.
She had sat down in her old seat next to Cheryl Cole.
But she flounced out when told it was no longer hers.
An insider said: “She feels like she is being pushed out.”
Jelus contestants. Pimp spots. A psychotic washed up female judge. This show is morphing into AI.
But nobody's more jelus than the Prime Minister...
Quote: X Factor twins no good, says PM
link
Gordon Brown has said he thinks X Factor's twin contestants John and Edward Grimes are "not very good".
The double act has provoked the ire of many of the viewing public but has been voted into the latter stages of the ITV1 singing contest show.
The prime minister told Manchester radio station Key 103 he did not rate the twins but added that some of the other contestants were "really good".
Mr Brown has declared himself a "fan" of X Factor.
Questioned by an audience of mostly young people in Manchester, the prime minister said : "I don't think they're very good"
He added: "There are some really good people on X Factor. It's really good. And I know it's competing with Strictly Come Dancing".
The question came from teenage actress Brooke Vincent, who plays Sophie Webster in Coronation Street, who was in the audience.
She said to him: "You're like, quite high up there. You're like a top dog, aren't you? So you could like ring in, and say 'we don't want 'em'."
To laughter, the prime minister then asked the audience : "Does anyone want John and Edward to win X Factor?"
Only two said yes.
With their happy singing style, John and Edward - commonly known as Jedward - have divided opinion.
Judge Simon Cowell has said: "If they win, it will be a complete and utter disaster. I'd probably sulk for about six months [and] get on a very fast plane out of the country."
Hey Mr. Prime Minister, here's something to add to your tea
Tonight's going to be epic. I wonder who's going to get slimed. |

That's hilarious! I've seen clips of the other contestants. None of them can carry a tune and are barely entertaining. In fact, they are almost painful to watch.
Jedward FTW! |
