Oliver Pigott Sounds Like: James Morrison/John Mayer-ish. Guitar-slinging coffee house fare. Jason Castro with a better voice and a white-boy fro. And some big-ass eyebrows. http://www.myspace.com/oliverpigott
WTF? He's a Ron Paul Supporter?
Still adding pics - be patient.. (Saving pics, will rehost shortly) He has had radio play in the UK: Quote : Friday, December 22, 2006 !OLIVER PIGOTT ALBUM OF THE WEEK ON PURE FM (UK)! !OLIVER PIGOTT ALBUM OF THE WEEK ON PURE FM (UK)! !STARTING JANUARY! -To be played daily on the Breakfast Show- www.purefm.com www.myspace.com/purefmradio Yay! --------------------------------------------------------------- www.cdbaby.com/cd/oliverpigott He also has over 3,000 Myspace friends. He's established.

Serious brows. Decent songs. Immature voice, but not awful. Hard to see how it translates to Idol. At least CI s seem somewhat relevant musically. UNLIKE Carrico/Cunty/Archie/KKKristy/ADB.

This is Canadian Idol, which loves a decent folkie contestant from time to time. I'm not "jumping out of my chair", as Simon would say, but for Idol, he ain't too shabby. Unlike that hair and those eyebrows, which need taming. From his CDBaby page: Quote : Oliver is all at once a powerful singer, timeless songwriter and explosive performer. His 6'2" stature and outrageously wild hair is only upstaged by his soulful and heartfelt music. His lyrics reflect a streetwise and well traveled soul, and his observations of joy, pain, benevolence, cruelty and social injustice are underscored by an equally intense melding of blues, Americana and rock'n'roll. Oliver first discovered his passion for music at the age of twelve, soon after the passing of his father, a legendary blues harmonica player. He began playing harmonica himself, jamming to his father's vinyl and emulating the styles of Muddy Waters and Elmore James. As a teenager Oliver taught himself guitar and while living in Portugal he began performing in bars along the Algarve. He moved to Toronto and gathered a passionate legion of fans with his band 'Laughing Sam's Dice', playing such legendary clubs as the El Mocambo and The Opera House. At 21 he signed a publishing deal with BMG. Now, a few short years later and armed with some fifty-plus songs, Oliver performs regularly in Southern California to ever-growing numbers of music lovers that yearn for honest and meaningful music.

^ That says he performs in southern California. This is from an article posted in the media thread: Quote : This year?s auditions drew musicians from places such as Los Angeles and London, England.

Quote "uncbare": Frogtard! Is Oliver going to be your "Dwight D'eon" this year? Well I ordered his cd! I really want to go to his last gig on Friday but I have to babysit! It would be mean if I cancelled out on them ;) As for a "Dwight D'Eon" I dont think anyone could top him. Definetly an Idol fav from all seasons.

Give 'em a couple of Shirley Temples and tell them it is our little secret and that if they tell, Sasquatch will take them from their beds while they sleep!
