My good friend Cattibrie is all knocked up. :)

I created a baby pool online and anyone can play.

She's due December 25th and this is her first child.

What's the prize? Ummmm, the standard Deb prize. ;)

You could already know the sex of the fetus. Has the ultrasound confirmed anything?

Nothing confirmed at all. Our last ultrasound was at 12 weeks and we have been told no more unless they suspect something is wrong and they don't anticipate needing another.

Awesome, glad to hear the Baby's doing fine. Funny you mentioned a Christmas baby, becuase so far I'm guessing Baby girl, Born Dec 25th, 2:22am local time, 9pounds 3oz, 20inches. BIG baby. Get ready.

I'm leaving mine where it is. Small and early.

Don't worry about the ultrasounds. I had one done at 7 weeks and then not again. I am so tiny they wanted to confirm that the pee test was correct.

Screw conventional wisdom about 1st babies.

They told me to expect to gain 20 pounds. I gained 20 pounds in 6 months, 38 lbs. overall.
Was told it would take a long time to lose the weight (I was 29). Lost 18 lbs. just having her, lost another 10 over 6 months, kept the extra 10 cuz I like having a little ba-donk-a-donk.
Was told she'd be late - she was a week early.
Was told to expect a long labor. Went into labor at midnight, pushed her out at 10 a.m. Probably could have been earlier, but had an inattentive resident.

You will be fine.

So far I have managed to lose 13 lbs. Morning sickness was such fun. But the doctor isn't worried since the baby seems to be growing fine and I am a "fluffier" woman anyway.
