THE official Meteors after-show party at Spirit nightclub turned into a hilarious procession of embarrassed stars who were not famous enough to be let in.
First Best Female artist Carly Hennessy, right, turned up with a small entourage and headed straight for the VIP rope.
But when the bouncer refused to let her in she even went to the trouble of bringing out her award and waving it at him.
Even that didn't do the trick so she stormed off again shaking her head in disbelief.
Then Jackass star Party Boy turned up, confident that he would be welcomed straight into the VIP section after he presented an award and turned up with Colin Farrell.
But again the door man turned him away, forcing Party Boy's agent to rush off and eventually get a VIP wrist band to allow him in.
Big Brother star Brian Dowling arrived with a male companion but didn't stay long - for he too was given the cold shoulder.
One onlooker said: "There were a lot of big egos crushed at that VIP entrance. It was hilarious to see them all turned away."

Wait wait wait - wasn't it discovered (and posted here in this thread way back) that her CD was officially released sometime in late November 2001, and that the proximity to 9/11 statement was a load of crap from the get-go?

ETA: Both on Wikipedia and most other links I found, her mother's name shows as Mary Murray. On the other hand, Carly's middle name shows as "Roberta" and I remember that it was "Sarah" on the marriage certificate someone put here a while ago.

I think that was what Wikipedia said.
It said Carly's name was Carol Sarah Hennessy.
Smartie, her Dad's name is Luke Hennessy.

Wikipedia now says her name is Carol Roberta Hennessy.  |

Amazon, which is selling the CD for $13.99 again, lists the release date as November 13, 2001.

Thanks for finding that, Aggrieved, it was niggling me too. Sheryl writes songs and they get sold to the highest bidder, really. I doubt she knew one of her songs was on Cunty's album when she commented on subsidising losers like that.
When Mariah Carey's career fell into the toilet with Glitter, EMI paid her $28million to get out of the record contract and were forced to sacked thirty thousand staff worldwide. That was a mega failure of epic proportions. But the tale of Cunty is the one taught in business schools - 'never put all your eggs in the slutty teen unknown's basket' being the moral of that story. |
