As a four year viewer of Idol, I must say that when I heard of your website, and how you affect the outcome of the contest, I was quite pissed. Then I got to read why your site exists, and I can somewhat understand why you want to expose Idol as the fraud that it appears to be. However, as a former singer and entertainer, I am appalled at your methods, and how they affect legitimate singers that pour their heart and soul into their craft.
I dont believe that you people truly understand how much time, effort, and heart it takes to make it in the music business. Though you may correctly disagree with the methods of the producers of this show, the way that you are going about expressing your displeasure truly hurts the legitaimate singers that are left on the show. Voting for someone that has no talent, and hurting those who truly do is a contradiction to the very hypocracy that you state that you are fighting against. Furthermore, it does NOT make the show more entertaining to have these poeple with no talent continue in the "contest", it actually makes it quite boring.
The music industry is, without a doubt, the most corrupt industry around. the people with actual talent are "pimped" on their path to becoming famous. A lot of people are used, sexually and financially, with promises of fame and fortune, only to realize that they are just being led around by the nose to the gain of others who have no talent other than to cheat and hurt those trying to make it in this shitty business.
Some of the people that are on Idol have found that this may be their only way of making into the limelight. When you have your people vote for those that suck, you may be taking someone elses only hope of making it away from them. The way the business is set up now, you have to spend a lot of money to even walk in the door of a record company in hopes of making your dreams come true, and a lot of people don't have the finances to achieve those goals, but they may truly have the talent. When their only path to making it is taken away from these talented artists, not only does it hurt the artist, but also it hurts those of us that actually enjoy good music. It's bad enough that the music industry is cheapened so badly that looks matter so much more than actual talent. That is why we have to endure the Britney Spears and Justin Timberlakes of the world. When you take part in keeping true talent from coming to the forefront, you are just as guilty as the Idol producers and all the other music company executives that allow this shit to play over and over again on the radio.
So try thinking the next time you vote for someone who has no talent, that you may be depriving yourself and every other music enthusiast from ever hearing some unknown artist that may turn out to be your next favorite artist. If you people have enough thought and intelligence to run this site, and affect the show watched by millions of people, I am confident that you should be able to find a better way to get your point across in a way that may be more positive for music lovers.

I have had to endure both CI and AI due to a person I live with. There have been a few great talents that have been shown on AI that's for sure, but the key word is 'few'. I always thought with the thousands of people auditioning I wondered how in the end the judges 'mighty 3' came up with mostly no talent picks, was that truly the best of out thousands. Now after finding this site by a google of Sanjaya it is all clear to me. TV ratings, not talent. My neighbors cat's howling is nothing to compaired to most of the contestants that end up being picked by the judges. It is the audition process and the end results that only show 1 thing, it is TV ratings and not singing talent that is the basis of the job. Don't care what Simon says. The show itself has no integrety as a truly viable vehicle for talent. The 'mighty 3 judges' put that goof Sanjaya in the AI lineup, so now they will have to live with the possible consequences of that very decision. If anything the show is mildly entertaining from a comedic stand point but certainly now from a musical stand point.

Hmm... I seem to be the 1% who don't go through. It seems fine in the home page. But it still says "log in" and "You cannot post..." in the message boards. WHAT IS UP WITH THIS?!
