I love these. I see them every year, almost word for word. They all manage to include the word "dream" in there.

Well here's the 4-1-1 little dude: EVERYBODY has a dream. The show's producers had a dream, too... they all wanted hundreds of millions of dollars, fancy houses in nice locations, a Ferrari for every day of the week, and hookers and blow on demand. Guess who gets their dream? Yeah, not any of the tens of thousands who lined up for a spot on this little staged "reality" show.

We are entertained by this show. It's fun to watch. The scripting and obviousness of it all, the way they choose their cliche "types" for each season (and the kids and some of the audience actually believe the final 24 are based on "talent" or "skill"... LOL...)

A show like this only works if both the participants and the audience believe it's real. It's not real. If anyone actually believes Jessica got the lowest number of votes this week, well, I have lots of things I'd like to sell you.

Having worked in the music biz in the past, I can instantly recognize the tricks of the trade. How they make people sound worse than they are if they want them gone, how they make them sound better than they are if they want them in. One guy this season clued in to the monitor earpiece trick and ripped his out, did you notice that? Did you notice he sounded way better without it? Notice NOBODY else has done that this season? Heh... there's a reason...

I'm a writer too, little dude... 3 books published, and 44 songs. And guess what? I love this site... cynicism is your friend. It will really help you avoid the tragic disappointment you're likely to feel for the rest of your life if you buy into the big entertainment industry lie.

...........Couldn't agree with you more!!!! Holly is BY FAAAAAAAAAAR the worst! She's a trainwreck on stage. She's more frozen than an icecicle, she can't ever find the pitch, she has no originality as an artist. She has a big voice, yes.... But absolutely NOTHING about that girl is record-selling material. BOOOOOOOOOOOORING. That's not to be mean, or put her down. I'm simply calling it like I see it - just as the judges do. It's sad, b/c I can tell she really wants this. It's just too bad that she can't deliver enough to make it work.

And a big "Hell Yes!!!" is in order for your comments about PP. He is very much the unique talent in this bunch. He's more of an ARTIST than Idol has seen in maybe forever, if not years. He's exactly what the music industry is needing right now. We are in a time when MUSIC is finally starting to make a come back: Adele, Joss Stone, Amos Lee, etc. Very talented artists that are SINGERS, not just crazy-dressers with connections to the right producers. Music itself is finally starting to come back, and he's the right kind of talent for the revolution.

But the underlying truth is that even though there is a clear weak link on idol, it's mind boggling that there is a site out there like this. I can't imagine that you actually get the votes to support what you're trying to accomplish, and I sincerely hope someone has the time and dedication to get to the bottom of what all this site has done over the years. We currently live in a society in which people are committing suicide at alarming rates over bullying. Well, VFTW is one of the biggest bullying site I've seen. Just b/c it deals with attacking celebrities and public figures (yes, I know....papparazzi folk and tabloids, mags, etc. exploit all the time) doesn't make you exempt from what the overall tone of this site is, and that is bullying.

Congrats. You're all gigantic jerks! And anyone who follows your lead is right there with you. Nothing but a big group of bullies. Sad.
