When you're 17 or 18, it's really easy to say "I'm going to remain pure and innocent and not have sex until I'm married."

Unless you're someone like me who has no intention of settling down and getting married until I've spent some time finding out what I really want out of life, then waiting until I find someone who loves me for who I am.

I got married this year. I'm 36. I'm pretty sure if I had waited until now to have sex, it would be a moot point as I would have killed myself long, long ago. Waiting works for some people; it would not have worked for me.
