This hunk of steaming crap was written by Chris Cornell and someone else whose name I don't remember. There are things I like about Chris Cornell, but generally his songwriting isn't one of them. See his solo albums as evidence.

I like Chris Cornell's solo cds, but he wrote his best work when he was depressed &; drinking. Cook's voice bores me, but I expected something better. I'll probably get my ass kicked for saying this... but at least Kid Rock wrote a few interesting tunes that rocked.

AOL Popeater has the first listen to David Cook's first single, Light On. We think it's incredibly generic and the screaming in the verses is painfully poserific. As Chile put it, "ballads are boring." Isn't David supposed to be a rocker? Even the big headed one is better than this crappy song. Then again, it was produced by some douche who produces Kid Rock songs, so that might explain why it's so bad. Opinions?
