Chile's going to be performing 2 more shows in the next few months as she finishes up her album, so make sure to get out and show her some love. Friday, November 7th, she'll be at LA Wingers in Frankfort, IN. She is also playing at Elbo Room in Chicago, IL on Saturday, December 6. Amanda is at her best live, so if you're a fan, you need to make it out to one of these shows. Why the hell is she playing Elbo Room? As a resident of Chicago, and regular attendee of the live music scene here, I can only say that The Elbo Room blows. It's in a basement, the sound isn't that good, parking around there is impossible, the stage is small and filthy, has dark and unflattering lighting, and it has a horrible clientele. I would reccommend Schubas, Double Door, Beat Kitchen, Martyrs, or one of the many blues clubs. Elbo Room? ELBO ROOM!?!?

I agree. Don't know what her booking agent was thinking. Oh, well.....I'm going to try to make it out there as much as I despise this place. I wrote to her booking agent awhile back suggesting venues for Amanda in the Chicago area, but this is what they were able to book.

I book talent at a bar called Jackhammer. I host a monthly live rock and roll show there called The Flesh Hungry Dog Show, and I'm having a show the night before she plays Elbo Room, so, I wrote to her via myspace and invited her to come play a few songs at my venue the night before. www.fleshhungrydog.com
