I suspect they sang the National Anthem at the start of the game. Since this was the 7th inning stretch, and Gaspy probably couldn't handle the more upbeat "Take Me Out to the Ballgame", they apparently went the patriotic route.

Eh, this doesn't bother me. I wouldn't deny he has a good voice. I'm just saying he wheezes like an asthma patient and he's boring as shit.

At least since it is not the National Anthem, just a patriotic song. I would hate to hear him sing the national anthem, and be forced to listen to him. With "God Bless Ameica" at least you can get up, go the bathroom, get a drink, drink your beer to get over the pain of listening to him, and many other things that would seem disrespectful if done during the natioal anthem.

I almost spit out my soda watching VH1 this week when they announced Gaspy's Crush video was number 1.

Seeing him do "Take me Out to the Ballgame" would be a classic VFTW video. This really wasn't that bad. But, why is he wearing a Rays jersey with his last name on the back?

I'm sure most of you on here wouldn't know the history of how the singing of God Bless America came about during the 7th inning of baseball games. Instead many of you are much better at spewing pithy comments about things you don't know about. In fact, the opportunity to sing the song was quite an honor, I am sure.
