I'm glad American Idol are morons. They never would have let Josiah do such a sweet song. I agree with others that it probably won't be a huge hit, but sometimes songs that are that personal go over better than I would expect.

I hope he has some success. The more contestants that were shunned by Idol that make it big, the better it will be.

The song was very raw, very powerful. It sounded like a rawer version of Clapton's "Tears in Heaven". This would have been a sensational release had it been his second or third CD. Problem is that he needs to establish himself as an artist before going into things like this. People outside of this board have no emotional attachment to him, so this is going to go over people's heads. You need to establish that trust with the audience before going into the "Tears in Heaven" playbook. The song and video are good, I just don't know if he should have released something like that when he is trying to establish himself.

Arctic Outcry Wind should be his first single and video cos it's more catchy and upbeat. don't get me wrong, i love this kid, and i understand why he wants to release this song as his first single. but oh well... that's his choice. but if he really wants to make it big, then Arctic Outcry Wind should be his second single after this.
