That was my first thought when I found this crap on youtube. But degrading women is a tradition kept alive at the historically black colleges. And 'Open Toes' may be a hootchie anthem. I don't know - I'm not a hootchie.

The song does have the beat that lends itself to dancing with your ass sticking out and strutting like Mick Jagger on Bolivian Marching Powder.

Oh, I'm sorry, let me correct that:

The song has a beat that lends itself to 'dance team' performances made popular by Paula Abdul and the Laker Girls.

As craptastic as that was, it was still better than listening to KatPee sing it. Feel sorry for the band.

Yeah, the band's great. It's not their fault they were forced to play that crap.

Is it more hilarious or lamentable that this school is in southwest Georgia. I suspect that FAMU laughed them off the field.

Oh my, those who struggled during the city's 1960s Albany Movement civil rights era may well wonder, "This is how the youth are choosing to exercise their freedom? With hoochies?"

Cynmac, back in the day, we referred to the flag team gals as "flag draggers."
