In case you don't know the background on AI8 superplant Joanna Pacitti, here is the story. Whine whine whine. Later she was signed to Geffen Records, recorded songs for movie soundtracks, and released an album that tanked. Seems to be Carlyplant all over again.

lol pathetic. Maybe if she makes it to the top 24 she'll sing a new Annie song every night!

"I'm the REAL Annie!" *cry*

If Mantasia can make it to Broadway (and Clay and Taylor and Diana, ad nauseum), then she'll get her goal.

But if she still sounds like a 12-year-old, people are going to get as tired of her on AI8 as they did Brooke White.

So I'm confused. Did Joanna write that song on Britney's new album? That 'Out From Under' song. Because she has no credit in Britney's liner notes for having anything to do with that song. Or was it written for Joanna originally and then because her album was a big giant wet fart FAIL, they decided to try again with Britney?

OMG, I remember that story. So, this plant is the fired Annie? Boy, there's gonna be a lot of photochop opportunities with this one!!

I don't know why AI doesn't end the charade and just give in and do like the Olympics-- open it up to everybody regardless of age or professional experience. Of course, they'd probably want to keep some minimum proscriptions against being too young, or too famous (although I doubt the likes of Britney, Pink, Fergie, etc. will want to be on AI; that might be fun to watch though, especially Simon). As for Joanna the plant, I want her off already! She seems like a real primadonna (I'm assuming she hasn't changed at all over the 12 years, as is my God-given right).

Hmmm... I just did a Google image search of her. She's all grown up and not unattractive. I may be conflicted. LOL.

"I've just got to remember .. sniff .. that I'm the REAL Annie .. and that the sun will come out tomorrow"

gtfo ...

I don't know why you guys are complaining ... this chick could be an awesome spectacle on Idol!

Long has the search for the most self-absorbed Idol gone on. Several times we've thought we found them, only to have them show some miniscule shred of self respect that ruins perfection.

This has epic potential imho.

How many years ago was that? At least 10? Nell Carter's dead at least that many years.
