American Idol 8 Hollywood Contestant - Felicia Barton

Felicia Barton is a rumored Hollywood contestant that we've been hearing some buzz about. Doing some research on her, there's tons of info about her out there, including a MySpace. Many of her videos that were recently public are now private, so we're thinking she might make the top 50. Her voice has a really cool raspy tone to it, and she's a pretty good singer, but she does overdo it at times (such as in the video above). Will she restrain it a bit and wow everyone or try to go for the diva moments and annoy us? We're hoping for the former, because the show hasn't had unique voices like hers in a while, but we'll probably get the latter.

She's ok, but her affected singing gets annoying.

If all you have to go on is this U-Tube video to make a judgement on her, you surely missed it. Someone once said, "If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all."

She sounds like Brooke White with a raspier voice but seems even more boring than Ramiele Pots and Pans Blitches.

I used to enjoy Felicia's, and her husband Loren's, singing every Sunday in the small church Freedom Fellowship in VA Beach where she sings regularly and I will tell you that this video does not give her voice the justice it deserves. Call me biased but I listened to her for about a year and I have not heard anyone with a golden ticket so far top what I know she can do. She should have gotten more airtime but the producers probably didn't think her calm demeaner was worth the time slot when they could pick people that act like idiots or are over-emotional.
