Josiah scored gig performing at the South by Southwest Music Festival. That's a pretty huge event, taking place from March 18-22 in Austin, TX. Looks like Josiah is still on a roll and doing fine for himself without Idol. Good news! Anyone in the area going?

Josiah should be well received by Austin. They like heart out there, just like anywhere, but they love talent.

I made this suggestion last year for him. WOOOOOOOHOOOOOO! This kid keeps growing and growing. The only thing I hope SXSW does not do is stick him in a club the size of Dave's bathroom. He will be one of the biggest things hitting the SXSW stages this year.

Wow, good for him. SXSW is a great way to attract a lot of buzz in a short amount of time, so that's a great next step for his career.

He got a job. Good for him. That's the REAL purpose of this show right? 99.9 billion aren't going to be the Idol, so parlay your exposure ibto a gig or career. As far as I'm c0ncernrf Josiah won here.

I am glad the kid is doing well and especially without Idol but whenever I see or hear his name, all I can think about is all of the weeping and sobbing he did on the show. But that's just me.

I really dig this kid. Not that he has the greatest voice or anything...but he writes damned interesting songs.

Glad to see him doing so well.
