American Idol 8 Spoiler Update - Jessica Furney and Arianna Afsar

JoesPlace has a new source that says Jessica Furney may NOT have been cut in Hollywood and may still be in the running. Hey, that's fun! And JP also says Arianna Afsar ("adopt a grandfriend" girl) was cut in Hollywood. She seemed too nice to take on the Idol beast anyway, she's probably better off.

Randy is fat

A teenager coming up with the "Adopt a grandfriend" thing is more impressive to me than "Idol Gives Back", maybe she'll be able to expand it with the exposure she got.

i think that's the reason they at least put her through to hollywood.

first off, corinne bailey rae songs aren't vocally challenging by any means.

and the whole grandfriend thing.. to raise its profile and buy goodwill with the audience

I like Arianna but I won't be sad if she's been cut. First off, she's young and this show can really mess with a person's head. If she wants to do this I'd rather she come back in two or three years as an adult. Second, I think she's got a good thing with her "Adopt a Grandfriend" charity and maybe the added exposure on a local level will help her expand it a bit. I'm a sucker for activities and charities that benefit the elderly.
