I always used to think to myself when listening to Crue, now if they could somehow make this song country... that'd be 'da bomb, yo!'. I do like how upbeat it is compared to the kind of bittersweet tones of the previous couple songs. More manipulation - hey, you won a trip home! Good for you!

i miss "bad day" because instead of the actual lyrics, we usually sang "because you have a weird face" and back in that season, a lot of contestants had weird fucking faces.

Well it seems fair. A mashup (Cruerwood) - worst goodbye song ever - for what could easily turn out to be the worst season ever.

Oh, well, there's been some bad ones, but I think its beyond doubt that this is the worst season ever. There are even far more gimicks and obvious manipulation now than ever. Its like they're not even trying to pretend anymore... I don't think AI has much life left, honestly. My question: Will Ryan has the cajones to say, "We've assembled the best group of singers on the planet, ever"? (And if he does, will he be able to keep a straight face?)

This year's "going home" song for Idol contestants after they are voted off is a cover of Motley Crue's "Home Sweet Home" by Carrie Underwood. No. Just no. The booted Idol song has become a hit in past seasons, with daniel Powter's crapfest "Bad Day" and Daughtry's "Home" becoming hit songs. Though even that string of successes couldn't help Ruben Studdard's "Celebrate Me Home" even remotely find an audience last year. MJ's Big Blog has a preview clip of Farmbot's version of "Home Sweet Home" if you want to hear it. Though honestly, it's going to become inescapable in a few weeks, so why bother seeking it out already?
