Maybe he understands that the pity story about his wife is getting annoying. Besides, who really cares about at stupid ring anyway?

Wow....

There are a lot of reasons to dislike the guy. His singing is mediocre at best, everyone is getting sick of the dead wife thing, he is a member of a "questionable" religious organization, etc.

But the ring thing? Come on folks, it looks like the hatred for Danny has caused some to look for any reason.

I seem to remember several seasons ago, an older gentleman auditioned in front of the judges. He was WAY over the age limit, but he was doing it for his recently deceased wife. He was praised by most.

Danny has the right to grieve (or not grieve) any way he pleases. I don't think we can judge him for that, and lord knows there are plenty of reasons to dislike him (see paragraph 1)

Once again, this is not to defend the constant mention of the dead wife which I DO find reprehensible.

I used to like Danny in the first few episodes...then

it is just way too over for his sob story...it becomes disgusting...

then the judges praised him like god!!...WTF!!!

Everytime he sings I feel like there is something stuck in his throat...

No matter how bad he sings, The Judges will always praise him

Look at Tuesday's episode when he met the country singer....drama king..here he come..YUCK!!

I change the channel immediately whenever the camera catch him

he is the first contestant I hate in American idol history

What pisses me off is, if you go look at some other sites, you will see alot of posting about how great it is to have a Christian singer to vote for, blah, blah, blah... let's face it, a good portion of these kids come from religious homes, sing in church, etc... but Danny's church is disgusting and is pretty anti-thetical to what most would consider to be Christian. And no matter how bad he sucks, because he's a Christian and has a dead wife, he will garner an enormous portion of the votes.

Many of the white born-agains are pretty racist, too. You had other very religious singers like Rubin and Fantasia and you know they weren't voting for them (as in the comments where I would read "finally... a Christian singer we can support")

Personally, I don't have anything against anyone being a Christian. I'm a non-believer, but I've read the bible and there's lots of good moralizing and right thinking in there mixed in with all the nutty stuff and glaring inconsistencies.

Why bother talking about this tool? I don't care about that ring since I still hate him for being a malewhore.
