I'm constantly amazed (and chagrined) by the lack of tolerance for dissenting opinion that some people have. They seem to feel if you have the temerity to not believe exactly the same as them, you need to shut up, and if you don't, you should be made to shut up using violence -- OR BY SABATOGING ONE OF THEIR FAVORITE SHOWS.

I see it all the time in debates involving things like evolution/intelligent design, 9/11, global warming, government/anarchy, etc. I never thought I'd see it for something as insipid and trivial (THIS IS MY HUMBLE OPINION, BUT YOU HAVE TO AGREE WITH ME, OR I WILL SAGATOGE THE OUTCOME OF A T.V. SHOW THAT YOU LIKE) as American Idol. But I guess some people's intolerance knows no bounds - LIKE THOSE WHO WOULD SABATOGE ANOTHER'S FAVORITE T.V. SHOW . This is the bottom line: I respect the fact that many people actually take AI seriously - OR JUST ENJOY IT AS AN ENTERTAINING DIVERSION TO TAKE THEIR MINDS OFF REAL-LIFE PROBLEMS, and consider it a legitimate talent competition despite all evidene to the contrary -- IT DOESN'T MATTER TO ME THAT MOST PEOPLE WHO ENJOY A.I. JUST LIKE TO HEAR PEOPLE SING -- and would never dream of trying to censor them -- I WOULD ONLY TAKE PART IN SABOTOGING THE OUTCOME OF A SHOW THAT OTHER PEOPLE ENJOY, JUST BECAUSE I DON'T LIKE IT. I only ask that we be extended the same courtesy -- BUT I WON'T REALLY EXTEND THE COURTESY TO YOU, IF YOU DON'T AGREE WITH MY OPINION. If you truly have the courage of your convictions, then step into the ring and prove it in the marketplace of ideas instead of being a bunch of cry baby thugs -- OR MAYBE ADOPT AN ATTITUDE OF LIVE-AND-LET-LIVE. There-- smoke that for a while.

TchrisD- I think there's something wrong with the volume of your speakers...talking-shouting-talking-shouting-talking-shouting. And what was your point exactly??

Thanks for your input, Moxie -- I don't know what kind of computer you're typing on; but when I type using my keyboard, whether in caps or small letters, my speakers aren't involved at all -- you must have one of those programs installed that types for you when you talk to it.

Uh, no. When you type something in all caps it indicates that you are shouting. I was wondering why you were doing that. And, of course, it caused you to lack all coherence.

I find it funny that almost all of our haters can't read or write.
