I guess he's having a rough year. Still, Frauen, that's no reason to vote for his weak raspy voice to win a popularity contest. Let him get by on talent like the rest of them are *supposed* to do (Scott excluded.)

The problem is that it wouldn't matter if he sounded like Megan Joy. He'd still be #2 on DialIdol every week.

I wonder if Danny feels any regret for bringing up his wife. There's no doubt he brought it up to have a story on AI. Now that he has done it and AI has pimped it, I wonder if he regrets his decision. Even if he didn't want AI to bring up grandpa, they will do it anyway. He sold his soul to the devil so to speak. Sad.

His voice (to me) is as pleasant as a cheese-grater on my ears. Danny knows how to carry a tune, but so do I, and I don't have any delusions of grandeur about my talent. So he can suck it. I'm still sorry for his loss.

I figured something like this was going to happen when he was #3 on DialIdol. LOL. The Dead-Wife angle isn't working, so he has to kill off some new relatives. If I were in his family, I would HIDE. I think they should investigate the death of the grandfather. I mean if you would pimp out your dead wife, why wouldn't you knock off an old man to win this shitfest? LOL. Danny Gokey Sucks Ass.

oh yes...of course this will be brought up on air...and of course it will touch all the viewers...and of course he'll get more sympathy votes... Now I'm sympathetic to the family...losing a loved one is a sad time for all...it's just that the timing is so amazing. Just as he was starting to slip in the polls...this happens. I'm not sure if he's one lucky SOB or one unlucky SOB....just sayin...

After the ridiculous pimping of his dead wife to advance on American Idol, it turns out that according to MJ's Big Blog Danny Gokey is back in Wisconsin because his grandfather just passed away. We do offer condolences to Danny and his family for their loss, but we also don't want to hear about this on the show. Dead relatives are not supposed to be used to gain votes for sympathy to get a recording contract. So please, Danny, actually have some tact this time and don't mention it. There's nothing like cheapening the memory of a dead family member like whoring them out for votes in a karaoke competition.
