It's something O'Reilly has started doing at the tail end of his shows... Bringing up interesting developments in pop culture. Most of the time they have to do with legal matters. It's actually a nice change of pace after 45 minutes of political debate followed by another 1:05 of political commentary followed by whatever Greta is (boring).

I see your point, and I agree with you. But when you consider where O'Reilly is coming from, how he perceives himself and who his audience is, this is as close to a positive statement as he is capable of making. He's never been a bastion of open mindedness; he's always pontificated from the farthest of far right. For him to basically turn around to his supporters, show them what they fear (the pictures!), and then say, through the editing and presentation, "calm down".... that's movement.

yep, i agree. a definite HUH??? popped in my head when i heard that line. weird and so completely out-of-context; wondered if there was something in the show earlier regarding illegal immigrants voting? anyone know? or was it just a totally bizarre out-of-nowhere and nothing-to-do-with-anything comment?

An earlier segment was about illegal aliens along the southern border getting arrested and tried as citizens rather than deported. So his comment didn't really relate to the Lambert story but was a lame attempt at a joke in context with the show as a whole.

It is a complete and undeniable fact that homosexual males are a minority. The majority of the US are heterosexual. Let's take a look at the stances most of you are taking. There's nothing wrong with being liberal, and there's nothing wrong with being gay, but a gay male will not win AI. Reality check. That's all. Okay. Adam is really nice. He respects everyone. He is a great performer. and what the fuck? It really doesnt matter. He is good. He is sooooooo gorgeous and soooooooo talented. Omgsh. You guys have no life making fun of someone who is so good. Adam is so amazing. And he's not a kid for the last time. He's 27. He never gets into the bottom. He is really theatrical and really great. Even if he is gay. My vote is going to Adam Lambert. It is a singing competition not a who is gay competition. So everyone can calm donw and shut the fuck up about it. We could all be happy again. If the world wasnt judged based on the pplz sexuality.
