Top 7 Theme is "Songs of the Cinema"

Fox sent out a press release saying that the top 7 theme is "Songs of the Cinema" with guest mentor Quentin Tarantino. We also get to suffer through Miley Cyrus singing "The Climb" on results night. Seriously, the goal this year must be to get the least talented guests so the Idols look better. Will we be spared the inevitable Whitney Houston "Bodyguard" soundtrack shlock from Lil Rounds? While we want to discourage her from picking something boring since she's the frontrunner as the next VFTW pick, we also know she clearly cannot hit the notes in those songs and will be referred to as a copycat again, making her even angrier than before. What should the Idols sing for movie week?

Adam should definitely do something from The Rocky Horror Picture Show.

If someone were to do "Big Bottom" from Spinal Tap, I would crap my pants in joy! On the screens they could show a montage of all Lil's best outfits.

Adam: Something from the "Phantom of the Opera" movie where he can Axl Rose squeal at the end of each line.

Allison: Something "The Doors"

Anoop: Something like "I Melt With You" from "Valley Girl"

Danny: The churched-up version of "Goonies R Good Enuff"

Kris: Fake guitar playing on a song from "Walk the Line"

Lil: Go for "a moment" singing "Georgia on My Mind" from "Ray"

Matt: Play the dueling piano version of "Dueling Banjos" from "Deliverance"

Is this theme a tribute for Adam?

Adam doing the GNR-ish version of "Live and Let Die" is almost too easy. Tarantino is guest mentor, someone should do "Girl You'll be a woman soon" by Urge Overkill from Pulp Fiction, or maybe "Little Green Bag" from Reservoir Dogs, but LGB is total Megan territory, so I guess we won't be seeing that.

Adam--Sweet Transvestite (Cuz he is!)

Lil--I Will Always Love You (Because they said she should have done it during Grand Ol Opry week, and now they can rip her apart for chosing a Whitney song. Kara dies this week.)

Deadwife--Wind Beneath My Wings (was there a soundtrack from Striptease?)

Footface--Footloose

Kris--If I could talk to the animals

The rest--who cares?

I'm going to miss Scott's sister most of all :(

Lil - I will always love you (Bodyguard)

Kris - Old Time Rock n Roll (Risky Biz), clad in pink shirt and tightie whities

Danny - Footloose (w/shitty dancing... the judges will applaud him regardless)

Adam - My heart will go on (Titanic) - I just know he'll make this shitty song not-shitty

Allison - MC Hammer's Addams Grove (Addam's Family)

Matt- Wind beneath my wings (Beaches) - he's going home anyway, might as well suck a little more first
