Scott Says He Deserved More Credit, Calls Out the Judges

In a polite, yet awesome way, Scott MacIntyre calls out the judges in a People Magazine article. Scott says, "It happens all the time — the judges say one thing and then they ridicule you for following their advice." So true, Scott. So why did you take Paula's advice to stop playing the piano then? "I really felt like it would be a tremendous surprise to America if they saw me with an electric guitar on my shoulder. [I thought] they’d be hanging on the edge of their seat waiting for me to play that first chord." Well yeah, but unfortunately you listened to the judges. You should've just sang "I Wear My Sunglasses at Night" and camped up the blind thing to have fun with it. Idol needs more of that.

This season has to be one of the best for us VFTWers. We already have two contestants speak out against the judges DURING the season. Kudos to Scott for not being afraid to speak out and sticking it to the judges.

I agree with azurebird. Plus Scott, we were on the edge of our seats once you showed us your punk side, Scott! Sunglasses At Night, LMAO.

Scott needs to just shut up and accept his fate.....he was lucky to make the tour, IMO.

Scott has an amazing sense of humor, and clearly didn't care what the judges thought about what he said...he was never afraid to speak up for himself. Sadly, thats a quick path to the producers' axe. Alas, we had Scott for far too short.

Scott was a dumbass for listening to Paula. Listen to the person that controls the competition, and that's Simon.

.paula is such a douche bag.

I honestly wonder why anyone would take her advice. I mean it isn't like she had a hit record in like 15 years. Paula doesn't write songs nor produces music. Paula doesn't manage a group/singer. She isn't an agent or talent scount. Paula doesn't play an instrument or was a musician

Paula isn't that technically gifted of a singer. She is a so-so dancer.

So what the fuck does she really know about music???

If Paula said I had to get away from the piano, I would have super glued my ass to the bench.

In actuality, They don't "ridicule you for following their advice", they ridicule you for following their advice and SUCKING at it.

I like Scott, I really do, but he was not good. On this show, in order to get the non-worster vote, you have to take chances. And they are always hit or miss, that's why they're called chances.

I like and respect Scott, but he took a chance and missed. Missed bad. Hell, that's WHY he became the worster pick.

Good luck, Scott.
