I agree with you, azurebird. Fantasia is a one-hit wonder. The only other winner that I think is just as bad as her is Taylor Hicks...because you hear nothing about him since he won.

Fantasia (like many past idols) was really good when she was on the show. I've never heard anything I liked by her afterwards, including "I believe" or whatever that song was called - her "first single" probably written by Kara. But if you actually watched season 3, she had plenty of great performances. Having said that, I don't find her physically appealing in the least and those photos verge on painful to view. Would I just come on this site and flame her for her looks? No - but she's kind of putting it out there for commentary and mine is unappreciative, to put it kindly. You guys are also wrong when you call her "ghetto". She's about as country as they come. I mean, no surprise she couldn't read when there aren't any books in a 100 mile radius of her home town.

I don't think Fantasia realizes what trash she is so this will be a hoot because she will be "herself" on the show. As long as she's not screeching out a song, I might take a look because I like to watch trainwrecks.

nice, ya'll just exposed your seriously racist, cretin streaks. I already was stunned by your racist caricature of Lil Rounds, this just confirms it. Fantasia has an amazing talent, even the New York Times praised her Broadway performances, and the African American entertainment aristocracy adores her. oh but silly me. I forgot you guys know more about talent -- and classy behavior -- than the rest of America. nevermind.

Also, priestdi: This site has 2 main purposes related to AI as I see it: to be irreverent and satirical, and to do some investigative reporting. It does dance around the "line" on occasion, and may even cross it every now and then. But in cases like Gokey, all the criticism heaped on him is completely justified. He has almost everybody bamboozled into thinking that he's a sweet, innocent guy who's just trying to share his "gift" with the world. We know better. Gokey is the poster child for cowardice, sloth and mendacity, but it's like people are under some kind of spell and can't see it. We are that voice in the wilderness pointing out the emperor has no clothes-- and not just for Gokey, but for all things AI. As for Fantasia, yes, we enjoy poking fun at her (she's such an easy target), but as the other poster said, she's fair game for putting herself out there the way she does. And even you have to admit that some things about her are completely ridiculous. So basically, if you don't like the site you can go somewhere else (blazes would be a good start). And don't bother trying to excoriate us for doing what the site is intended to do-- you're wasting your time.

priest - How is the Lil cartoon racist? Seriously, explain and justify. Or else stop flinging terms like 'racist' around because when you start misusing stuff like that it makes the term meaningless (and therefore harder to use when there is real racism going on). Better yet, grow a sense of humour.

a sense of humor? lol, that's never been a problem. I'm no tight-ass prude. not by a long shot. I simply can't see anything remotely funny in what another poster so aptly called "shallow hatred." and I actually am dumbfounded that you guys can't see it. It's scary, to tell you the truth. you're obviously not idiots. So how reasonably intelligent people can think random hatefulness and cruelty is not only OK but funny too, is just beyond my comprehension. I actually hold Americans to a higher standard of conscience than this. Guess that makes me the fool, eh?
