Vote for the Worst Encourages You to Vote for Matt Giraud

Yes, Matt Giraud is the new VFTW pick. And yes, he's going home this week. But that's why we're voting for him. No one thinks he stands a chance, and neither do we. So either we're crazy and want to get the most VFTW picks ever this season, or we just think it's funny to keep voting for the person who is obviously going home to see what happens. It could also be that we just had to see the caricature of Matt with the huge boil on his forehead.

No matter the reason, Matt Giraud is only in the competition because the judges saved him 2 weeks ago. Adam Lambert has legions of fans, Danny Gokey is playing the pity vote like a violin, Kris Allen has the little girls screaming, and Allison Iraheta is the lone non-white non-male left so that'll garner her plenty of sympathy and support. This leaves Matt out on his ass, especially since his vocals have gotten worse in the last few weeks and his falsetto has become painful. Matt is also selling way less than the others in iTunes sales, so the producers don't want him around anymore.

So why waste our votes on the guy who's going home next? Because we don't give a shit about this show and we just want to have fun. Worst case scenario (and 99% likely scenario)? Matt goes home and the judge's save goes down as a wasted gimmick that people will mock relentlessly. Best case scenario? Anything else. Both scenarios will be VFTW victories. So concentrate and vote for the boil and let's all get out our dog whistles with our dialing fingers this week.

I must agree that I needed to see that banner with the boil on his forehead. Who knows, maybe Allison or Kris will end up failing and Matt will be able to slip by (not likely but who knows).

Do we really want Matt to become a POP singer?

It's really going to make his blood BOIL to find out he's the VFTW pick.

At least we don't have to worry about the other contestants wanting to HORN their way in to the Matt spotlight.

the best thing about Matt possibly going through is the person who goes home's fanbase will be soooooooo pissed. For a week he will be the most hated contestant like John Stevens was when Jennifer Hudson was booted and he stayed in the competition and there were death threats. And you just know he is going to be horrible tuesday night- he is going to try that puke-infested falsetto that no one but Paula likes and he will wears tight jeans that shows his fat ass and he will have a damn hat on and jewelry on- he is the absolute right pick-
