I was watching when Fox 16 announced Kris' being in the top 3. (watching it live as they came on). It was during the commercial break just after Kris was the FIRST to be saved. We are central time and it was not announced before. They announced him - then went to a commercial break and our local news announced it during the commercial. I LOVE KRIS so vote for him!

Seriously people... If they need to air the homecommings on tuesday, that means they need to film all of them and edit and prepere the actual event times 3. No way is that even humanly possible to do that on a moment's notice. Didn't we already know that "if" Danny stay, they'll make a "Danny Gokey Day"? I hate Idol as much as all of you and I say a lot of it is rigged anyway but this sounds most logical that they either plan all 4 but film 3 or film all 4 but air only 3.

It's not that they knew they were in the top 3. It's that there were only 4 contestants left. Either way each contestant is coming home on thursday. Either as a top 3 or eliminated. But, either way...they were coming home.

I don't think anyone knew who was in the top 3 already. I think the hometowns of all the top 4 started planning homecoming events since they knew if their person made the top 3 that Idol would be sending them home for a homecoming. and since the plans were already made, just decided to keep them even if their person didn't make the top 3

I'm sorry, I obviously didn't make my comment clear. Kris is popular throughout the state, therefore the events would be taking place whether or not he was given the boot. Who's Kris Allen...one of the good guys.
