I'm from Milwaukee, and while Danny was not my favorite I do think he's good. It's important to note that they announced a couple of performances, a "mini concert." He did fine for the first few songs, then he made a little speech. He said he's going to do a medley of a bunch of songs, that he doesn't know the lyrics to most of them, and that he just wants to have fun. So before he even started singing, he admitted he didn't know the lyrics. It was just meant to be for fun at that point, after the actual performances.

He even joked that he hasn't listened to much music other than church music, and laughed at himself over the scream the other week. He did just fine on the songs he was prepared for.

Sorry Zunnoab, but that's a weak excuse. He was on a competition to become a PROFESSIONAL singer and that is the height of UNprofessional. Imagine if anyone else went to a job interview and said, I've answered all the questions I prepared for, now I'll just answer a few more "for fun". Do you think they'd get the job? No. Should you be surprised Danny was "voted off" after such a dismal performance in Milwaukee? No.

That wasn't a job interview, he was goofing around for his fans. There's a huge difference. The context is completely lost when trying to judge the performance on its own. Many famous bands improvised and did medleys for fun. Danny could have just said "okay I'm done I need to head to the stadium to sing the national anthem" but instead he stayed and just had fun and goofed around. He poked fun at the fact he doesn't know many mainstream songs.

I am not surprised he went home, but not because of that. Kris' second performance was astounding and surprising, and the moment I heard that I knew Danny might be going home. There's also the fact that I think Adam should win, one of my sisters thinks Adam should win, my other sister thinks Kris should win, and the only one in the house that thinks Danny should win is my nephew. My sister's friend thinks Kris should win, even before Danny went home.

I am not saying Danny should have won. I think this is a very tight competition, but I am saying when he outright stated he didn't know the lyrics and said his voice was giving out, it's unfair to present it as if this was one of his primary performances, when it wasn't.

Don't kid yourself. From waiting in line for the first audition to the moment they're crowned, AI is one huge job interview. And everything is on film, so he should have known better. If I had been in the audience and someone wasted my time like that too, I wouldn't have been pleased.

"He poked fun at the fact he doesn't know many mainstream songs."

No, he showed how out of touch and clueless he is. Do you really, honestly think that it had no effect on AI's decision to send him home before the final?? Wait, let me guess, you think it's all about the vote count and it's all honest.

"it's unfair to present it as if this was one of his primary performances, when it wasn't."

No one has presented it as if it was a primary performance. We're just saying that every performance counts. For him to not realize that is just stupid.
