Kris Allen Beat Adam Lambert By a Large Margin

The Kris Allen-Adam Lambert showdown wasn't even close according to a tweet by Billy Bush. Rumor also has it that 38 million of the 100 million votes cast last night came exclusively from Arkansas. Since most of the country voted for Adam, that would about even it out. Combine that with VFTW's help and the pissed off Danny Gokey fans, and it was easy to see why Kris won. VFTW Victory! I'd respectfully like to disagree with this outrageous statement........Dial Idol showed a MOE of 1.03 percentage points.

I'd say the margin was somewhere between 200,000 to 500,000 votes, based on DI's stats.

What a hoot. 38 million votes from Arkansas, eh? This might be the scandal to bring "Idol" to its knees. There are less than 3 million people in total that live in Arkansas. That would mean that if EVERY person in Arkansas voted, they would have had to have voted for Kris Allen about 12 or 13 times apiece. 12X3=36, 13X3=39

I smell a Mega-Church robo caller system, much like the ones they use during smear campaigns in politics.

As usual, if there was some wrongdoing going on, FOX and Idol will never admit it but rather next season will go to a voting system like that Dancing show that limits how many votes can come from one phone number.

With the margin of error being 1% it's still likely it could have been a blowout a 1% of 100 million would still be 10 million votes. Not say it was a blowout, but I always figure if its really close they're going to lets us know for more "suspence."

Anyone out there with school-age kids? I'm wondering if they spice up math problems in school now with AI and other reality TV shows as the examples in story problems...

"If two American Idol contestants leave the stage and the same time, one walking 1 mile per hour, the other walking 2 miles per hour, which one will reach the judges first?"

And I used to complain that I'd never use any of that math crap in real life. Silly me.

Dial Idol doesn't account for text messaging. Being from Arkansas I can tell you that 90% of the people I know have AT&;T and therefore can text votes rather than calling.I'd also say 70% of the people I know have unlimited text plans. The local news showed one moron who texted over 10000 times using two phones. I think that is why the majority of the winners come from the south. Verizon is more prevalent in other parts of the country whereas AT&;T dominates the south.

yeah right every person in Arkansas was holed up in some "Mega-Church" speed dialing. I swear what tards won't pull out of their asses. It's all a plot by Evil Christians to get more boring ass singers to win AI...like we don't have enough already from previous seasons.

I want to nip this in the bud. We have had super-ass Christians win Idol in previous seasons and what have they done? Nothing...get over that bullshit.

The state of Oklahoma did the same thing during Carrie Underwood's season.

Yea, 'cause that no-talent Carrie Underwood has surely done NOTHING since those "tards" in Oklahoma voted for her. [blank stare]

Did I just totally miss the sarcasm, or do you really believe that everyone who doesn't agree with you is either a "tard" or an "evil Christian" or perhaps both?

Friend! Take a deep breath! Its just a lousy REALITY SHOW!!!

Madame is truly better off NOT "winning" - his ear-to-ear smile after the announcement should have told you all you needed to know!!

Oh Wow you haven't heard how Arkansas did ?

<FONT COLOR=RED>It was by jamming Adam's lines !!<FONT COLOR=BLACK>

If you put enough phones on auto-dial, they will not disconnect until the entire message is played - making the call longer and in turn limiting the amount of calls in for Adam.

this is a totally brilliant strategy.

Just think about this. A legitimate pre-final poll, with a 10 million vote sampling, had Adam up 20-30 million the morning of the final. How much can happen in one day to change this dynamic? the only way is to make sure Adam votes don't go through and to get as many as you can through.

I actually don't doubt the 38 mil from Kris's home state. DIDN'T ANYONE WONDER WHY LAST WEEK THEY CLAIMED 88 MILLION VOTES - AND THIS WEEK THEY WERE ONLY JUST SHY OF 1OO MILLION? THAT'S ONLY A 12 MIL DIFFERENTIAL - WHEN (1) THERE WERE TWICE AS MANY HOURS TO VOTE (2) YOU WOULD THINK THERE'D BE MORE LINES OPENED UP FOR THE FINALE - THEY SHOULD HAVE HAD AT LEAST 150 MIL
