Tanya's sentencing should be a bullet between the eyes. Or at the very least, permanent sterilzation so she doesn't reproduce that level of batshit. Sorry, little sympathy for stalkers here, as if that isn't obvious.

Isn't there a law that says you can't make money out of a crime you committed or something? Then again, if OJ did it I suppose anyone could. The bigger question is - Who would buy such a book anyway?

Wow. She needs to be put away for a long time, preferably where she won't have internet access. That's very skeeery. That law SlashDash is referring to is commonly called the "Son of Sam law," named such after the Son of Sam serial killer attempted to sell his memoirs for profit. It diverts any money earned by the criminal to their victims. It has kept some notorious figures from profiting from their crimes, but there are loopholes, hence OJ. The Son of Sam law came into play when the family of Voytek Frykowski, one of the Manson family victims, received a monetary award many years after the crime. The victim's family filed a civil judgement againt Manson and others after the crimes, and many years later, Guns N Roses recorded a song written by Manson, and attempted to send him a royalty payment. The money was diverted to the Frykowski family instead of to Manson.

The bigger question is - Who would buy such a book anyway? I'm pretty sure that's why his book was shelved. And the Goldmans would have gotten all the $$$ from it. I imagine there are enough freaks out there to buy another freak's book. It's normalizing their behavior.

What makes this one especially creepy is who the person in question decided to stalk.

Criteria #1 - Not being Diana Degarmo Not taking stalking seriously for the purposes of this conversation... it's just really odd to choose her, and that makes it even more creepy than let's say...stalking Katherine McVee.
