This all has worked in Adam's favor - coming in second Just look at Miss California EVERYONE knows who she is and no on knows the name of the actual winner of Miss America - Miss North (or South) who knows Carolina. I adore Adam Lambert and think he is THE most amazing talent that has ever crossed the American Idol stage - of course we know he was the best - and the funny thing is SO DID KRIS and he even said so when he "won" - the good news is that Adam will be a mega mega mega star - and if Kris hadn't won, he would have been forgotten in two minutes, so it's nice that BOTH WON - not only that, but Adam's career will take off faster and go farther since he is not locked into the AI "winner" contract - something that would have limited his choices dramatically. So basically, Adam NOT winning made him the REAL winner. And while I think that there are more important things to focus on this is something that matters to millions of people who voted. I won't watch AI next year...

Best of both worlds for Adam. Everyone knows...including Kris...that he is #1 but he doesn't have to be tied to American Idol for 5 years. Kris needed the title....Adam doesn't. He is being treated as the winner all over the place. I feel bad for Kris sometimes. They will both do fine....more controversy....more coverage! Adam will be fine....no matter what. American Idol just let the world know how good he is. The title is inconsequential

Well of course they are... I understand the need for Alien's fans to spin it to be able to make it through the day without slitting their own throats, but it's still funny. Everything they say about it being a blessing may be all good n true, but still... just a week ago it was all about what a shame it would be if Adam didn't win, and how obvious it was that he would. Good stuff.

The phone company is just another money-grubbing corporation. They don't care who or how or why anyone texts, just as long as they TEXT (standard charges apply). They hate the 1-866 people who don't get charged. That's why the ultimate boycott of this show would be a national TEXT-OUT whereby masses of people agree not to text on a given week.
