Gene Simmons Wants Adam Lambert to Shut Up

Well for starters Adam Lambert wasn't allowed to speak to the press until after the show had run its course. Gene Simmons is the one who should shut up and realize nobody cares what he has to say anymore. Gene you are a has-been. Your voice sucks and always has. And yeah, we should be telling the mainstream media to shut up - they are the ones obsessing over this crap.

Adam must be making the rest of the makeup wearing rock stars look bad with this "gay" thing!

I'm a little confused... Adam has only said once that he is gay. In Rolling Stone. That's the first time. It's fucking America that won't shut up about it, and there actually ARE idiots that care. Gene is retarded.

What's really beyond the pale is his insistence that Adam shut up about his sexual preference when Gene's only real shtick for his entire career (when he's not playing the same 3 Kiss songs over, and over, and over) is announcing to the world how many groupies he's fucked.

This is one of the true shames of homophobia in much of America these days. People will spout off about how they don't care about what Adam does in the bedroom, and that he should just keep it to himself. Meanwhile, every other contestant gets to trot out their husbands, (dead) wives, kids, girlfriends, boyfriends, etc and no one bats an eyelash. Luckily I think people are finally starting to see through some of this wink wink nudge nudge heteronormative, hateful bullshit.

Then again, let's be honest - Gene's gonna get a ton of soundbites over this, which he's a master of. He can say Adam should shut up about his sexual preference one second and then profit off of it the next. Gene should know something about attention whoring, he certainly hasn't made all of his money from sheer musical brilliance.

Adam was mum about it during the show and finally had to say it after the show just to shut everybody up but not old Gene Simmons who is over the hill and hasn't had a hit since I was born!

I don't think the homosexuality fixation is Adam Lambert's fault. I think various media made it into a "big" deal. It seems like Adam is comfortable with himself but it's the media who had/have trouble thinking outside the heterosexual box. You know, . . . if it bleeds, it leads . . . if he's gay, let's make a big deal out of it . . .
